Although it's compact and lightweight, this little canister vacuum contains a 1,200-watt motor that produces exceptional suction power while offering the convenience of bagless operation. The canister measures just 14 by 9 by 9 inches and weighs about 10 pounds, light enough to be carried around by its shoulder strap for cleaning furniture, shelves, drapes, and lampshades. For vacuuming bare floors, carpets, and rugs while tagging along on its two wheels, the vacuum comes with a 10-1/2-inch-wide nozzle and two extension tubes. The nozzle/tube assembly connects to a curved wand extending from a flexible hose that attaches to the air-intake duct. Two other attachments are included: a dust brush and crevice tool.
The large, transparent dust cup easily unlocks from the canister for emptying. The dust cup has a detachable filter that can be washed when it clogs. A button on the vacuum's top automatically retracts the 17-foot power cord when pressed with foot or thumb, and the vacuum can then be stored either upright or flat. Either way, there is a method for locking the nozzle/tube assembly to the canister, and the attachments then slip onto posts attached to the tubes. I opened this vacuum cleaner and used it for less than 10 min when engine stoped due to overheating. I was unable to put it back to work for at least 30 min after this, so i had to wait untill it cools off. While unit was running i sensed a smell of the birned plastic so i turned it off and send it back.

It's not for carpet. Don't even think about getting this to solve a dog hair problem unless you have hard floors only. However, for those pesky little corner jobs, window sills, light fixtures, inside drawers, it can't be beat. Very light weight but lots of sucking power. Here are some of the things it has taken care of:1. Dead oriental lady bugs (the biting kind) in the window sill 2. Cobwebs and general ickiness from the track of the sliding door 3. a jar of little screws I knocked over and didn't have time to pick up by hand before company was arriving. 4. Cat litter (excellent job on this) 5. Dog food This little vacuum and a good upright model should take care of most of your vacuuming needs.

Lightweight, passable suction, but doesn't really get the stuff out of the rugs like my hoover.... the worst part about this machine is that it really gets hot, really quickly. I'm not sure why, but it gets so hot I shut it off 2 or 3 times while I'm using it to let it cool down. Also, there's a filter that's a pain to clean. But the vacuum was [inexpensive]. I guess you get what you pay for.
