Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This powerful food prep center chops, slices, dices, shreds, and kneads up to 6 cups of food in its plastic work bowl to fulfill all your chopping needs in a single unit. The blender’s unique Quad-Blade technology combines a processing vortex equipped with 800 watts of power and four strong blades so even foods that are notorious for chopping unevenly in a food processor, such as onions or ice, come out in uniform chunks. Two speed settings—low or high—let you control the exact texture of chopped food and a pulse button gives an extra blast of power (up to 1,100 watts) to quickly finish off a chopping job.

In addition to chopping vegetables, the usual fare for a food processor, the Quad-Blade blends cookie and pastry doughs, kneads up to 1-1/2 pounds of pizza or bread dough with the included dough blade, grinds meat or poultry for making burgers, and crushes ice into miniscule chips for cold drinks or snow cones. The processor also comes with five different slicing and shredding attachments that are held in place by a disc. A fine shredder preps cabbage for cole slaw, carrots for raw salads, or hard cheeses to top pasta, while a thicker shredder grates shoestring potatoes for grilling, mozzarella cheese for pizza, or iceberg lettuce for tacos. Two slicer attachments come in thick and thin widths for creating uniform slices of cucumbers, carrots, or potatoes. Finally, a French fry blade cuts potatoes into perfectly spaced squared pieces for dropping into a deep fryer. A feeding tube lets you continue to add food while the processor is spinning and a food pusher lets you put the right amount of pressure on food to get uniform slices.

The Quad-Blade processor comes with an adjacent storage compartment that houses all the blades, blade attachments, and a spatula. For safety, the storage compartment has a locking lid and the food processor has suction-cup feet that keep it from shifting across the countertop when it’s processing. This food processor is covered by Euro-Pro under a 1-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent chopping capabilities, January 4, 2004

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
I ordered this food processor from Amazon.com so the shipping was completly free for me and it arrived via UPS within 4 days or so. I am VERY VERY satisfied with the chopping capabilities of this food processor. It chops onions like a dream and lets me take out the blades and the cup without every spilling anything! Last night I made some chicken vegetable soup, and usually the prep time took me atleast half an hour to chop all the vegetables, but with this machine it took me less than thirty seconds flat, I put the onions, the carrots, the peppers, tomatoes, and potatoes directly into the food procesor all at the same time and I got perfectly uniform pieces in seconds. I LOVE THIS MACHINE.
There is the problem of the power cord, I have to pull it out and push it back in, yes, but atleast like other machines I have owned, I dont have to wrap it around the appliance hoping the cord will stay in place. The storage space seems less than the infomercial, but thats ok as well. As for the recipe book, I really prefer using my own recipes so that doesnt bother me either.
Overall, the chopping quality puts all other food processors to shame and comparing the price of this one to a Cuisinart or a Kitchenaid etc, I feel this is a bargain!

5.0 out of 5 stars I don't understand the complaints, January 28, 2005
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
I didn't even know of this system, I got it as a gift from my husband. Before ths I used my mom in laws black and decker if I needed a proscessor. This blows that one AWAY!!

I don't have this same model, the one shown looks better than mine! The model I have only gives you a small blade storage compartment on top, it does not have a large opening to store everything in like this one does. The blades DO all fit in the storage, you just have to know how. YOu can't throw them all in piled up on top of each other any which way. You have to place them one across the other in a 'X' shape and then they all make a neat pile that fits nicely in the storage area.

I love that the suction cups hold this on the counter. I LOVE how the thing chops, its like lightning! It is very easy to put together, the top fits like it is supposed to and I have had no problems operating the thing at ALL! I saw on another site that someone complained that they broke the blade that holds the slicing disks because it is cheap plastic. That is not true. I mean it is plastic but I don't know what else it could have been made of! The blade has a large circumference and a small spindle in the middle so of course if you ram the food down the chute against the blade with all your arm force, it is probably possible to push the blade down and snap it. But that is not necessary! All I have to do is BARELY press on any food and it is immediately pulled thru the blades. No excessive force is necessary to operate or slice anything here!

The only complaint I have is that this is sort of loud. I guess the 800 watt motor has to make some noise..but it is rather loud.

I think this is a great buy and terrific value. My husband bought this at a Sears store and I found it on line for $35 cheaper. I printed the page out, brought it to Sears and they refunded me the difference in price, plus I didn't have to pay for shipping and handling like I would have on line. That would be my suggestion to you!

I totally LOVE this machine, can't imagine NOT having it !
