2.0 out of 5 stars Lid Broken - Can't Find Replacement
The thing works great except for the lid broke and I need a new one. The little plastic piece that holds the prong from the blades fell out. It was cheaply made.

I'm going to call the customer service number (800)798-7398 tomorrow and see if they will sell me a new one. I haven't used it that many time and washed it by hand so I don't know why it broke...

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
I ordered this food processor from Amazon.com so the shipping was completly free for me and it arrived via UPS within 4 days or so. I am VERY VERY satisfied with the chopping capabilities of this food processor. It chops onions like a dream and lets me take out the blades and the cup without every spilling anything! Last night I made some chicken vegetable soup, and usually the prep time took me atleast half an hour to chop all the vegetables, but with this machine it took me less than thirty seconds flat, I put the onions, the carrots, the peppers, tomatoes, and potatoes directly into the food procesor all at the same time and I got perfectly uniform pieces in seconds. I LOVE THIS MACHINE.
There is the problem of the power cord, I have to pull it out and push it back in, yes, but atleast like other machines I have owned, I dont have to wrap it around the appliance hoping the cord will stay in place. The storage space seems less than the infomercial, but thats ok as well. As for the recipe book, I really prefer using my own recipes so that doesnt bother me either.
Overall, the chopping quality puts all other food processors to shame and comparing the price of this one to a Cuisinart or a Kitchenaid etc, I feel this is a bargain!

5.0 out of 5 stars I don't understand the complaints, January 28, 2005
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
I didn't even know of this system, I got it as a gift from my husband. Before ths I used my mom in laws black and decker if I needed a proscessor. This blows that one AWAY!!

I don't have this same model, the one shown looks better than mine! The model I have only gives you a small blade storage compartment on top, it does not have a large opening to store everything in like this one does. The blades DO all fit in the storage, you just have to know how. YOu can't throw them all in piled up on top of each other any which way. You have to place them one across the other in a 'X' shape and then they all make a neat pile that fits nicely in the storage area.

I love that the suction cups hold this on the counter. I LOVE how the thing chops, its like lightning! It is very easy to put together, the top fits like it is supposed to and I have had no problems operating the thing at ALL! I saw on another site that someone complained that they broke the blade that holds the slicing disks because it is cheap plastic. That is not true. I mean it is plastic but I don't know what else it could have been made of! The blade has a large circumference and a small spindle in the middle so of course if you ram the food down the chute against the blade with all your arm force, it is probably possible to push the blade down and snap it. But that is not necessary! All I have to do is BARELY press on any food and it is immediately pulled thru the blades. No excessive force is necessary to operate or slice anything here!

The only complaint I have is that this is sort of loud. I guess the 800 watt motor has to make some noise..but it is rather loud.

I think this is a great buy and terrific value. My husband bought this at a Sears store and I found it on line for $35 cheaper. I printed the page out, brought it to Sears and they refunded me the difference in price, plus I didn't have to pay for shipping and handling like I would have on line. That would be my suggestion to you!

I totally LOVE this machine, can't imagine NOT having it !

5.0 out of 5 stars Quad-Blade Heaven, December 30, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
I was very surprised reading the other reviews for this product. My instruction booklet came in the box with a very thick recipe book (thicker than usual with an appliance). I think it may be a box packing problem. I also had a little bit of a hard time getting it to start, but I realized that even though the lid looks lined up if you give it a bit more of a push it will really lock in. You can hear it. Once I figured out how to tell it was locked in I havent had any problem opening and closing the lid or having the unit run. I used to own a Black & Decker food processor. After using this one I could never go back. The unit has suction cups on the feet to help it stay in place on the counter. The food bowl doesnt slide and lock into the base it sets into a ridge and is sturdy. The chopping blades are good quality, the plastic wheels are durable (much more than the B&D unit I had). Now for the quad blade.... I complicated that to much trying to figure out why it was so simple to slip one blade onto the other.. but once I slipped it into the center of the processor it made sense. They really did a great engineering job on this. In my old FP I would have to cut an onion into quarters then after chopping I would have to hand chop a few pieces that didnt quite get cut up. IN THIS UNIT.. IT CHOPPED THE ONION UNIFORMLY IN LIKE 3 SECONDS!!!! No hassle. When I take the onions out I dont end up loosing a heap of them on the blades. I really cant figure out what they did to make taking the blades out of the food so easy and neat but they did it. I hated cutting the onions, removing the lid, pulling out the blades and getting cut union all over the counter, or pulling the blade out over the pan so the cut onion would fall into the pan rather than the counter. With this unit I just pull the blades out and the onion and everything stays in the bowl. Maybe its the shape of the food bowl or the angle of the blades... who knows, who cares ... this is by far a much much better food processor. Other notes: Its quiet, the speed control works beautifully. Possible downfall: I dont like plastic doors and hatches on my kitchen gadgets, it always seems like a weak point.

If they send me a new one I'll update this review and post the number. The website on the owner's manual is useless, by the way, the only products on that thing are vacuums.

5.0 out of 5 stars A force of power yet to be reckoned with!, August 9, 2004
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
I dare any food processor to do what this can do. It's so powerful; for a reasonable price as well. I have done so many things with this. IT has saved me money as well. I have ground beef in this, and less fat as well. I have used this to slice cucumbers. The storage unit is nice for those four blades that you use in the dial . such as the thick slice blade thin slice. etc. You can put the spindle and dough blade in there too. A great feature is the cord storage thing. You don't have to leave it out hanging like you do on alotta things. It's just a wonderful food prep center. Saves alot of time in slicing . blending , grating, etc.. . I would recommend this to all over alot of the other processors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Work bowl and lid friction, May 30, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
The friction between the lid and the plastic work bowl can be reduced by rubbing a few drops of vegetable oil on the mating surfaces. Also a little oil on the cam, positioned on the lid, that actuates the power interlock will help. This is a great machine.

I order this machine from the Euro-Pro website and it arrived with a cracked bowl. I called twice and both times I was told I would receive a replacement in 5 to 7 days. I would also like to mention that I offered to send the broken bowl back so they could see the crack, but was told no. That was in October and I still have not received the replacement. I am at the point that I will purchase a new bowl, but cannot find a source. I would not reccommend that anyone purchase this machine directly from Euro-Pro. I will not order another Euro-Pro product.

5.0 out of 5 stars A food processor that leaves its competitors IN THE DUST!!, August 6, 2005
By
This review is from: Euro-Pro EP91 Quad-Blade Food Processor (Kitchen)
I ended up getting this Euro-Pro Quad Blade food processor to replace a Braun MR5550CA Hand Blender that konked out on me one morning, and I've been happy with it ever since. At first, I just used it to help me whip up my ice cream & frozen yogurt receipes. Eventually, though, I ended up using it to (via the included receipe booklet) make stuff like homemade salsa and peanut butter, and saving TONS of money in the process!!

With conventional food processors, trying to do something like making salsa is a MAJOR pain in the ass!! There is no way you'll get anything but something that looks like grounded-up pulp using those damn things. With my Euro-Pro food processor, all I have to do is dump all the ingredients into its work bowl, lock the lid & quickly pulse everything a couple of times to get the job done. Plus, the food processor's quad blade technology makes sure that everything in my batch of salsa is always cut evenly, no matter what. And when it comes to making something like peanut butter, the Euro-Pro's quad blade technology & 800 watts of power leave all other conventional food processors IN THE DUST!! I was amazed how I ended up (my first time out) getting a product that tasted a hell of a lot better than what I was getting at the time, and how quickly everything took.

In short, there's no need for anybody in my house to go to the store and buy ice cream, frozen yogurt, salsa or peanut butter anymore, because we can easily & quickly make it at home with this Euro-Pro blender. It's quad blade technology REALLY comes in handy!! While conventional food processors take forever to do their thing, the Euro-Pro food processor gets the job done extremely quickly. Why anybody else didn't come up with something like this sooner, I will never know. What a brilliant product!! This is definately one product that I'm glad I spent my money on. It is worth EVERY penny I spent on it!!
