So awesome, I bought a 2nd one for my daughter!,

I had previously purchased a Denim and Lace Euro Pro and had used it for over a year. It was easy to use and so much smoother than my very nice 18 year old Kenmore. My daughter and I started a business making dog clothes and we decided we needed another machine. Because we were so happy with the lower end EP, I chose the 9120 and am very happy with it. It has a miriad of features, is consistent and dependable. We especially like the decorative stitches...and the fact that you can program in an almost infinite number of stitch patterns. The designs are adorable--including the two different kinds of alphabets. The button holes (all 13 of them) are consistently perfect. It comes with a lot of feet and accessories. More than I can imagine using. This is definitely the best sewing machine I have ever owned, and that's saying a lot since I am a couture-level seamstress and designer. In fact, I love it so much that I sold my other lower end EP and bought a second 9120 for my daughter to use. She is in heaven using it! We also have purchased two EP sergers in the last few months. We are very happy with these, as well. Our product looks very professional.

I have been looking at this machine for a while then decided to e-mail it my boyfriend as a "hint" for Christmas. Well, to my surprise it showed up and he gave it to me Saturday as a early Christmas present. This machine is far more than I expected with all of the different stitches, feet and it's so easy to use. Even for a first timer to the world of sewing. I would like to point out something very important about this machine. You see, I have MS (multiple sclerosis) so my eyesight, steadiness in my hands and strength in my legs are poor, so when I found out that you can operate this machine WITHOUT the foot control, it was a God send! All I have to do is push a button, and it starts sewing automatically and stops at a touch of a button. For anyone with a disability, this would be a great machine to have so now, we don't have to give up on things we love because of our disabilities. If your looking for a good machine that is easy to use, stop looking, this one is it!
As far as the person goes that gave it a bad review about the font stitches. I had that problem too, until I figured out you have to adjust the top and bottom thread tension. Once you do that, you will get a perfect design. This is especially important if you are using decorative threads. Just give it some time, you will get the perfect effects you are looking for. I have owned many machines in my time, from cheap ones to top of the line ones, and this machine is the one I use all the time now. In fact, my top of the line model is now collecting dust! Please, don't be afraid to get this machine. You will love. Take it from me, a handicapped woman with a spirit that doesn't give up!

I Love this Machine!!!,

I cannot say enough about this machine,I absoulutely love it! I make and sell children's clothing and I have had the machine about 6 months and have made about 50 outfits. It sews quietly and I have had no problems with it at at all.
My FAVORITE thing about this machine is that you don't need to oil it,just clean out all of the thread lint and you are good to go!It has lots of cute decorative stitches some include: flowers, leaves, hearts, stars, sailboat and many more! You are unable to change the font on the letters and they do look a little funky on cotton fabric so if you are looking to monogram I would suggest an embroidery machine but I used the letters on a fleece blanket and it does a fabulous job on fleece,I guess thicker fabric is better for the letters and they turn out about 1/2" tall so not very big but my last machine didn't even have letters. It sews flawlessly! I decorate and alter alot of jeans in my sewing and I have never had a problem on any fabric I have sewn, even several layers. There are 2 tiny complaints I have but they do not distract from how great this machine is I just wanted to give a full review with the good and the bad. First there are 3 buttons on the front by the needle one just happens to be the backstitch button.A lot of times when I am putting a piece of fabric in I accidently bump it with my hand and the screen will show that the foot is not lowered and you have to wait a few seconds before it will go back to the main screen and you can begin to sew but no big problem,I am just impatient! The other thing is that the back screw on the plate over the feed dogs is a little hard to get to and unscrew. That's it! Like I said it is a fabulous machine and the 2 things I did not like about it are not a major problem. I highly reccomend it and would buy it agian!!

I absolutely LOVE this machine. It is so easy to use and at a fraction of the cost of machines with similar options, it is a steal. There are more decorative stitches than I will ever be able to use, but I will sure try hard. It makes piecing quilts so easy. I can adjust the needle to correct my 1/4" seams, so I seldom use the seam ripper anymore. That is always a plus.
It also sews through very thick layers with ease. Hemming jeans is a breeze with this machine. It didn't even strain a bit over the denim hump. That's what really convinced me that I had gotten a great machine. The person that gave this machine a bad review over 1 or 2 decorative stitches not looking the way they wanted them to look really didn't give it a fair deal. That has nothing to do with the quality of the machine, and this machine is a super quality machine, especially for the price. I did lots of research before deciding on this one, and I'm glad I did. I hope this helps.

The Best Machine I've Ever Owned.,

I bought the Euro-Pro last summer to replace a cheaper sewing machine which just didn't work any more. I was determined to get myself a good machine which I could sew clothes and quilts on. I ordered this machine online without even being able to "test drive" it and I have been superbly gratified at it's performance. In fact my daughter wanted to borrow it and then didn't want to give it back, so I bought another one! We are both stitching happily away a year later.
One feature I LOVE is the buttonholer. You insert a button into the back of the special foot, choose the buttonhole design you prefer (straight, keyhole, rounded, etc.), mount the foot, pull down the buttonhole tab and away you go. It sews a PERFECT button hole without you having to do another thing. It also sews on buttons precisely and quickly. I have used it for sheer fabric and heavy fabric, and the tension is better on the heavier jobs. I do a lot of machine quilting as well and it sews and sews without breaking the thread. I feel sympathy for the woman who couldn't get it to sew right. She probably got one that wasn't adjusted right and assumed that the product as a whole is bad. Like I said, this is the BEST machine I have ever owned and well worth the price offered on Amazon.com!

lovely machine,

I ordered this machine on-line a couple of years ago and Its a great machine. I have used it infrequently but each time its has worked great with professional results. I had to repair a waist band on purchased jeans (you could not tell where my repair started and ended on the top stitching) and was very happy with my results. Amazed at the quality of my results I played with the stitches, used different fabric, threads and needles. I must say this is a bomb machine, what can I say, I'm spoiled and wanted a bernina 430 as an additional accessory. I have compared brochures and instruction manuals and my euro pro has more utility stitches and button hole choices that I'll used than the bernina machine does. The 440 has some stitches that the 430 does not, but the Euro Pro has them. For the perfectionist if your focus is a genuine straight stitch and precision is very important to you then you may want to test drive it first, because to get that detailed straight stitch would be problematic. I have tried very hard to get a perfect straight stitch which I figured was a flaw in me and not the machine. I have yet to play with my bernina to see how precise the straight stitch is straight! My main goal for the bernina was a longer length stitch.

beware,

The tension was off from the start. I could not sew a thing, thread broke, material puckered, and I was endlessly re threading, and trying just to sew any stitch. After working with this machine a couple of times, the bobbin holder popped out, breaking the needle. I had this machine about a week, and now it is on its way back for a refund. My 35 year old Kenmore sews better than this did.

After reading several reviews I was hesitant about this machine. I have never had trouble with the auto tension and would highly recommend this machine whether it be a beginner or a pro. It is very easy to use right out of the box. I have several machines, a Kenmore electronic, a Pfaff,a Singer XL-1000. The Euro Pro sews perfect stitches every time without adjusting anything. I can't say that about the others I own. While they may sew some of the stitches really well, others are not so perfect, this machine however, sews each one as pictured every time. If you're looking to sew monograms, get an embroidery machine, don't fault this one for that short coming. As a utility and decorative machine, this far exceeds expectations. Although the Pfaff has IDT, I still prefer this machine when sewing upholstery fabrics. Penetration in heavy fabric is not a problem. Sheer fabrics don't pucker as some machines that are capable of sewing heavy fabrics. It's a winner in my book!

Very disappointing,

I was sold on this machine because of the apparent ease of use and the decorative stitches. While it is easy to use, that matters very little as the tension is constantly messed up. The adjusting dial doesn't work. The tension stays the same no matter what the setting, and the top thread easily pulls out. Unfortunatly, I am just past the window of return. I am back to my 25 year old Kenmore.

great for fun and family not for business,

I purchased the machine and was very excited to get it . I tried it out and it was a huge disapointment. The fonts could not be made smaller or larger and the scripted font didn't connect together - the letters had funky thread stitches between each letter - now for block letters I understand - they are not connected so it would have to have some way to keeps stitching but for the script it would be the right thing to have the letters just begin and end with the loopy lines that connect script letters in a word - but it didn't it was HORRIBLE looking. I am returning the machine ASAP because I can't use.
It's probably really good for the novice who isn't really interested in sellin quality items. but I wouldn't recomend it to anyone who plans to use the decorative stitches or anything for a professial product. Not good quality for that. Good luck with your search. |
