4.0 out of 5 stars Good Machine, Great Price, Easy to Use, July 28, 2008
By
This review is from: Euro Pro 8660 Stitch Art Sewing Machine (Kitchen)
I have been looking for a sewing machine just to do small jobs. I've looked at Walmart, Target, Shopko and wasn't happy with what they had. Those machines seem to be lightweight and made of plastic and looked cheap. I found this machine and ordered it right away. I received my machine on Friday and just got a chance to try it. It's easy to thread, it's quiet running, it doesn't vibrate when sewing, it appears to be built solid. It has a hard plastic cover, which I was surprised to see, I thought I was going to have to buy a case. There is one downside, the foot control is lightweight and feels cheap, I guess you could always get another one if needed. But other than that I couldn't be happier with the Euro Pro 8660.

2.0 out of 5 stars Getting Frustated, October 27, 2009
This review is from: Euro Pro 8660 Stitch Art Sewing Machine (Kitchen)
I needed a sewing machine badly and didn't have the money at the time but thought this sounded like a good buy so it was put it on a
CC for me.

The machine came quickly and I was excited to get going as I had projects I wanted to finish up for an art show.

Working on needle felted items and followed the instructions for a bit thicker material.

I can't begin to tell you how long i worked to try to get it working perfectly for what i needed. Some stitches were fine then they would bunch up on the bottom. Then the bobbin case fell off. The top thread kept busting and i would have to rethread - as far as the auto threader I still can't figure that out so have had to use a needle threader.

I changed needles - omg - it took me i bet about an hour as the space is so small i couldn't fit my fingers in correctly and ended up using the screwdriver and a small nose plier... and even with those i had to flip the machine on its side to get the needle in correctly. What a pain.

I am passing off some of the problems as haven't used a machine in awhile and the last one was a Viking.. nice of course.. and all digital which was great.

However - i just don't understand what with all the adjustments that i am having that much trouble just making a straight stitch. If anyone has one of these already and cares to let me know, i would appreciate it so much.

1.0 out of 5 stars Faulty bobbin case on 2 machines, September 28, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Euro Pro 8660 Stitch Art Sewing Machine (Kitchen)
I got my machine quickly and set up to sew. It is a quiet machine that sewed the first couple of seams beautifully. The feed was perfect on organza! Then, the bobbin case would not stay locked into position. My machine was replaced promptly. The replacement was sent to me with the same problem right out of the box! How dissappointing!
