Product Description

Product Description

Tackle any household mess with this remarkable Shark Cordless Sweeper. As seen on TV, the sweeper gobbles up any kind of mess on any carpet or floor—from moist food chunks on the rug to nuts and bolts on a hard floor. The shark hugs the wall and uses a powered side brush to get into corners and grab dirt along the wall. Sweeper's powerful brush-roll action sweeps dirt directly into the dirt tray, and handles any kind of debris without bags and filters. The shark runs for 30 minutes on a single charge and has an 11-1/2" cleaning path. Features a swivel head for maneuverability, a large capacity dirt tray that removes easily for quick emptying, and a low profile and long reach for hunting down hard-to-get dirt. Sweeper converts easily to a handheld and is ideal for stairs.

A time-tested design updated with a rechargeable battery, the 7.2-volt Euro-Pro Shark cordless sweeper lets you clean both carpets and floors without the bulk and upkeep of a full-size vacuum. Built with a motorized brush roll, the cleaner sweeps up small and large debris into its generous dirt chamber. Suitable for floors, it can also be converted into a handheld unit for stairs and automobiles. Plus, it emits no exhaust or airborne particles, making it a handy tool for dust-sensitive users. Operating the Shark sweeper is easy--the functions are all straightforward and simple, and the brush roll features a view window so you can monitor what is being swept up. The window also snaps off for when you need to apply the bristles directly to baseboards and corners. The swivel head maneuvers well, and the sweeper features a very low profile for cleaning under furniture and shelving. It is also powerful, though the strong suction does make operation rather loud. Recharging the power head simply requires plugging in the included AC adapter. A full charge takes 16 to 20 hours and lasts 35 to 45 minutes, depending on type of use. --Emily Bedard

Forget the negative reviews if you have hardwood floors...this thing works great! My entire house is hardwood floors and I've tried several upright vacuums, and they ALL shoot stuff out of the back. The Shark never shoots anything out...and 99.9% of the time it picks everything up: from rice, coffee, dust-bunnies, crumbs, coins, potato chips...anything that other expensive vacuums I've tried can't. It's convenient to use, lightweight, it stays charged (which btw, when calibrating the battery, they suggest you charge/drain the battery twice. I've drained it once so far, and it ran for over 45 minutes). The swivel handle is great, and maneuvers like a steering wheel.
I even use this thing on the back porch to pick up leaves, berries, and stuff I don't feel like getting out the broom & dustpan for.
I don't think this machine is designed for heavy duty work, or not sure how it would perform on deep-pile carpet, but for my hardwood situation it's perfect!
Also, the little wheel for baseboards really works! It throws stuff right in front of the beeterbar to be consumed.

I like this product, I was very sceptacle at first with the classic Info-mertial, but this sweeper can do its job everytime. After living in Europe for a while, one of the biggest selling household items were "electric" brooms, or Sweepers. So I can appretiate a sweeper like this, actually just like the info-mertioal. PLEASE DO NOT buy this to replace your carpet vacuum or you will end up just like the other people here with neg. feedback. If you have tile or hardwood floors this is definately for you, I'm sure It's even great for short "office type" carpet.

Hey guys/gals after reading all the reviews and having this product for a while and extensively testing, here is what ya need to do to get the most out of your shark cordless SWEEPER. At least until the next generation appears: First, this thing has Ni-CAD batteries which are horrible with their MEMORY effect. The manual says let it "FULLY DISCHARGE" once a month before recharging. WRONG you must let it run down nearly each time if you wish to maintain your 45-60 minute runtime for future months (which I have achieved) and maximize battery life. Additionaly DO THIS: let it fully discharge (power on) and then shut it off (power off button). Let it sit for an hour or so and then put it on. You will see that shark will then run again for a few more minutes this is that darn MEMORY effect inherent in NI-CAD batteries. Repeat this and you will have finally fully discharged the battery readying it for a robust 16hr charge enabling a powerful 45-60 minute runtime consistently. What YOU SHOULD NOT DO is recharge it after small or minor usages say after 10-15 minutes. This will wreck the battery. ALSO DON'T exceed 20 hrs as manual states. ACTUALLY avoid 20 hr. charges for they will diminish battery life! TO avoid this use a christmas lite TIMER and set it for 16 hours and plug charger into it! This SWEEPER's design is great but its QUALITY is horrible. The plastic gears are rediculously terrible and not durable and as noted in other reviews they will slowly strip in time and even quicker if you catch something larger like a scatter rug edge or even a small kids sock which I did. Another problem is YUP the rubber strip on the bottom does fall off BOO HOO and without it increases the cleanup time and lengthens your backwards stroke on missed debri.Read more ›

Verified Purchase
I was very skeptical when purchasing this product. Even more skeptical when I received it, partially due to the fact it was in such a small box and it was very light weight. Well, was I suprised. It's turned out to be an EXELLENT buy. Works wonders on both carpet and bare floors. In fact, it works just as good or better on carpet than many other vacuums I have used. Assembly was a snap. Changing the trash tray is also a breeze. This turned out to be a light weight with heavy weight power. I'm so delighted with it that I am going to purchase 2 more as gifts.

I can't get over this little thing. It just arrived last night; I charged it, and now I just used it in my carpeted room. Not only did it pick up things that I didn't even see on a carpet that was reasonably clean, but the mark of how good it just worked for me is this: about 1 and 1/2 months ago, I dropped an empty wineglass on my floor. Concerned that I would be walking barefoot or in socks in my bedroom, I carefully picked up every shard that I could see, checked it over with a flashlight and picked up whatever I saw, then used a "state of the art" vaccuum cleaner that is down the hall (in a utility closet) from my apartment, and then used a wet paper towel to be certain. I later vaccuumed the whole room to be extra safe (and because the rest of it needed it). Well, when I emptied the tray on the Shark Sweeper, I saw glass (not a whole heckuva lot admittedly)that escaped my previously quite careful scrutiny. Granted, I only just got it, but if this is how it will continue to perform for me, I am absolutely delighted that I purchased it. Again, this is just a first impression, but it is an extremely impressive one at that.
P.S., this is the first time in my life that I have followed up on one of those "I saw it on TV ads" - I've never trusted them before.
