I bought this product because from the description, it sounded really good. I have been learning Norwegian on my own now for 4 years, and not having a tutor or any classes available, my grammar is full of mistakes and I can't correct my pronounciation. So I thought to get some software that could help me with my grammar. I chose this product because of the software's ability to records one's voice and compare it to a native speaker, and for that I will give it 3 stars; and because I thought if I had software that taught grammar, I better get a beginners to solidly teach me the basics.
But this product really is designed far more for kids than adults and for someone with absolutey no knowledge of Norwegian. There are no grammar exercises or building tools at all. All the games are towards building vocabulary and simple phrases in Norwegian, and telling the time.
The games are also orienated towards kids of 8 - 12. If I was a kid with no knowledge of Norwegian, it would be great. But if you are an adult after some software to help you learn Norwegian, don't buy this product. If you already know the basics, whether you are child or adult, don't buy this product.
I don't know what I really expected with it - but I feel rather disappointed.

I lived in Norway for 2 years, and wanted to brush-up before I took my husband there for a visit 10 years later. I was fluent in Norwegian 10 years ago, and there wasn't anything new for me to learn from this product. My husband, however, who does not speak a lick of Norwegian, learned quite a lot. If he would have stuck with the lessons, he could have learned more ;)

I was skeptical to purchase the "Euro Talk Norwegian" DVD, however, it turned out to be the easiest language tool I've ever used. The interactive games are perfect for my vocational style of learning; simple but productive.
