If it were possible, I'd give this less than the one-star-review. The graphics (words) are so tiny I couldn't read them on my two-foot-wide monitor. Inane Anglo-Saxon types mouth words at the bottom of the screens, taking up valuable screen space that could be otherwise used. I speak several languages; and the FIRST thing you need to learn in ANY language is "How do you say this ( & point to the thing) in German? (for instance) " This disc offers nothing like that. There are only forty-four "new words" -- only thirty phrases. The picture of the sumo wrestler, the hand, the sprinter are all useless without the WORD. Numbers go only to twenty; I need to count higher than that. "I don't know" is pronounced two different ways by two speakers. Summary: if there were any way to send this BACK I'd do it immediately.

This is about the only audio product out there for learning Telugu, so I would recommend buying it. That said, there are some issues with it. It's obviously been converted from a European language CD-Rom. The choice of words has a strong European cultural bent to the point of including words that won't be useful in Andrah. There are some serious errors. The biggest one was the translation of the word for the direction right as in left and right to the Telugu word for correct.

I was very disappointed with this language program. I didn't expect a lot since it is priced so inexpensively but .... The vocabulary words are very limited and many of the words we needed to learn were not in this program. It is very confusing to figure out the correct pronunciation when the male speaker and the woman speaker pronunce the same words differently - which one is correct?! This was the only program for Telugu that I could find so I guess it is better than nothing but not much.

This is a great product for anyone who would like to learn how to learn the basics of Telugu. Even I know how to understand the language fully but my pronunciation is off when speaking telugu - so this helps a lot. Thank you!!!!
