researched for weeks online and in stores for a steam mop, as most of my house is wood or tile. I could not be happier with my purchase. Here are the reasons why i finally chose the Euroflex Monster:

1) It was actually designed to be used on hardwood floors - this was important to me b/c I didn't want to ruin the floors in our house
2) It has 2 different steam levels, which makes it safer and more effective at cleaning tile and hardwood. i could not find any other steam mop w/ 2 different steam levels.
3) it has a good sized water chamber. i can mop the whole house on one filling if i don't press the trigger too much to get extra steam to come out the front.
4) steam jets on the bottom AND front. i don't remember seeing this in any other brand.
5) it heats up hotter than most steam mops - to 240 degrees F. Other steam mops don't get as hot so to actually sanitize you are supposed to hold the mop in one spot for 15 seconds, which would make mopping a house an all day event.
6) it also has an attachment for steam cleaning carpets - i have not tried this yet, but liked the feature.

7) the bonus pads where a great bonus.

It has been great at cleaning well and quickly. It really does wipe away grime... even grime that's been there for a while. The pads are machine washable and come out clean every time. Be sure to use distilled water so that you don't get any build up in the chamber (that goes for all steam mops). My only complaint is that if you do have to refill the water chamber mid-cleaning session, you have to wait to 5 mins unscrew the cap (b/c of steam escaping when you unscrew the cap)and then another 5 mins for the mop to heat up after you put more water in the chamber

This was a great purchase for me. I have a carpet steamer and wanted a hardwood/tile floor steamer. This steamer does the job! My only complaint is that it cannot clean my grout. The people who lived in my house before me had put in white grout. It is such a pain to constantly bleach it. Unfortunately, I am going to have to rip out all the white grout and put in a darker color because with three children and 3 pets, the grout does not stay clean and I do not like getting down on my hands and knees everyday to bleach the mess out.

FYI, when the cleaning pad gets dirty it starts to spread the dirt around. I was cleaning my hardwood floors and went to start the kitchen and to my surprise it left brown washable streak across my floor and grout. Definitely a good product though!

Okay, let me start off by saying that this steam mop is great! It does work but.... it isn't meant for everyday heavy duty use. If you are looking for a mop that will last, this is not the mop to buy. Our house is almost all completely tiled floors. We used this mop almost everyday for something but it only lasted a few months. The design is faulty. The joints that support the stick part are not strong enough. Needless to say ours broke and the solution from Euroflex (when you get through to someone that speaks English well enough to understand), "we would be happy to replace it for you for only $99.00." HAHAHA...yeah, right. I won't be purchasing the replacement. I'll be looking elsewhere.

I'm only giving it one star because while it did work it didn't last long enough for me to get my money's worth out of it. At the time I believe I paid about $150. Also, the hassle of dealing with Euroflex. They don't hire customer service help, they hire sales people. No one, including the managers, wanted to help. They just wanted to sell something else. They even told me not to worry because my model was outdated any way and I should just "upgrade" to the new one.

Long story short- not a durable product. Don't waste your time or money.

I also did tons of research on this steam mop and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The only thing I will point out is that it is a bit on the heavy side, so if you are a frail person this may not be the right mop for you. It does do an awesome job on the floors and the 4 steam levels make it great for my laminate and the tile. The more steam that you use though the more wet the floors get so start on the lowest level of steam for a floor that dries in seconds. Very easy to use and I feel like it is a well made and sturdy product that is going to last me a long time.

Our EZ1 was delivered in timely manner and was well packaged. The assembly of the handle did not go well, the insert end was buggered-up (it would not engage so that the trigger mechanism for the front steam would work)- had to call the 800 number - they sent out a new handle - came quickly (tried to sell me a portable vacuum) - found that you had to kind of jiggle the engagement prior to turning the handle into position, then gently try to pull the handle back out, if engaged properly the handle will not come out (remember to be gentle). By capacity quoted, the boiler should take about 2.5 cups (must use the pourer provided), it took a little less. The mop is very easy to use and very well thought out - pulling back the handle turns on the bottom steam, pulling the trigger turns on the front steam (once you get the handle to engage properly - it's a poorly designed engagement). The mop does do a beautiful job and we are very happy with it. The customer service was very responsive, but I do not think they are good at describing how to correct a problem - on the first call, the woman told me how to engage the handle, which was not adequate and was not helpful, on the second call is when they sent out a new handle (I could have very easily damaged the 2nd one but luckily didn't (it is very easy to damage because of the engagement mechanics).

The Euroflex Monster Floor Steamer cleaned pretty well when it worked. It was used weekly on a average size kitchen floor. It lasted less than a year (8 - 9 mos) and there was no customer service to assist. The unit simply stopped heating up. When it was operable, it left the floors fairly wet & the lower steam settings did not clean the floor as well and it was difficult to push the cleaner. For the money I would expect for it to last a bit longer. Next time I purchase a floor steamer (NOT euroflex) I will research the products customer service reliability as well. This company is unreachable.

Let me first say that I have a one year old and a 3 year old so maybe I am dealing with more severe messes than the average person. That said I am pretty disappointed in the monster mop. Its nothing special at all and just wetting the pad and cleaning my floor with the mop unplugged did about as good of a job. :-(

My first steam mop was the shark which just quit one day after about 6 mo. of use. So after reading all the reviews I decided to buy the monster for 2 main reasons- I liked that it got hot enough to kill germs since I had little people crawling on my floors, and I liked that I could use it on carpets.

I find this mop no better than the shark mop. Maybe it kills germs better, I don't know cause I can't see them. What I do know is that after leaving the mop in place on my tile for 10 seconds the floor is barely luke warm. So I really don't see how that could kill much of anything:-(

I deal with dried on smashed bananas and sweet potatoes on tile. This steam mop doesn't even make a dent in this stuff. I pretreat these areas by spraying them with water while the mop heats up. Then I still have to stand there with the mop steaming the area for a long time, over and over again before it finally comes up. I don't have that kind of time.

And the steam jets on this mop are a joke. There are useless. The jets come off the front of the mop and a horizontal angle and hit the floor about 12 inches in front of the mop. This is an excellent feature if you want to steam your walls while you clean the floor.

Also the carpet feature is useless. It takes too long to make any difference. Again I dont have time to stand there for several minutes for each 1/2 foot of carpet and that is what it takes to see any difference at all.

On the plus side I dont have a problem with the handle. It is OK and since I know it has been a problem for others I am careful not to put much weight on it. They did put a little tag on the handle stating not to push on the handle but to let the steam do the work. But after seeing how long it takes for the steam to do the work I can see why women where pushing too hard on the handle....

Since I spent 85.00 on this thing I will continue to use it until it gives out. Then I will try the enviro steamer and if it doen't work great I will give up on steam mops, save my money and use a wet towel on a stick. I bet it works about as well.

I have tile in my kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway, bathrooms, and entryway.

Pros:
- Takes 15 minutes to read the instructions and put together.
- Easy to fill - it comes with a cup with a convenient spout, though, I used my own small funnel to make pouring even easier.
- Heats up really fast 5 minutes or less with room temp water.
- Instructions say the inside of the boiler doesn't need to be cleaned if you use distilled water.
- No chemicals are needed.
- Cord is long enough to clean a large area from one plug.
- My floor didn't make my socks dirty after I was done mopping, so it was really clean!
- Really fluffed up my shag rugs.
- Less messy than normal mopping because floors dry faster and there is no splashing or dirty water.

Cons:
- The handle is plastic - the trigger for the front steam works well, but the handle seems kind of flimsy, I expect it to break before the rest of the appliance does.
- It doesn't fit under counter edges very well because the boiler is on top of the mop head. The position of the boiler helps make the steam as hot as possible, and it is very hot. The front steam jets can be used to steam under the counters and then wipe up or vacuum later.
- Might not be able to deeply clean carpets - My rugs do not look clean really, just fluffy, after using a full tank of steam on them. Maybe it will take a few cleanings for them to improve. (To clean carpets you have to first steam them and then vacuum.)

Things to keep in mind:
- This is just a mop, you have to vacuum first to maximize cleaning.
- No "clean floor" smell because you're not supposed to use chemicals with it. It's worth it though!

I bought the previous model a little over a year ago. In the course of 12 months, I probably used the steamer 25 times and used only distilled water. Well, as soon as the warranty was up, and in the middle of cleaning one day, the steamer stopped working. As expected, Euroflex will not replace this product, even though it died just after the warranty expired. Also, the pads don't work well after a few washes and they have to be replaced. I DO NOT recommend you purchase this. I read others' reviews and that was the reason I bought it.

Pros:

-Works Well
-Good Steam
-Great on Carpet
-Doesn't take up that much space
-Value is there

Cons:

-I never use it only for carpet. (not even sure why)
-Steamers in general are a little bulky for every day use.
