The map is only accurate in that the countries' capitals are correct. However, it honestly looks like someone cut out countries from across the world and pasted them arbitrarily. The case was also a little small at first, but I got my ipad mini to fit. Also, it doesn't stand up in the furthest slot back when it's standing the tall way since it's too much weight, but it does its job overall.
