This is a VERY enjoyable session...Big Mama JAMS in London! And what a line-up of sidemen, including Buddy Guy! Ms. Thornton always sang life-infused blues; highlights include "Sweet Little Angel," "Little Red Rooster" and "Unlucky Girl." We're blessed with two takes of keepers like "Swing It on Home" and "Hound Dog." Yes...we're blessed with TWO definitive versions of the classic song that a certain Mississippian later recorded and made famous. Big Mama sang it FIRST...and sang it BEST! Big Mama ROCKS!
