About the Author

Professor Bryan Cheyette is Chair in Twentieth-Century Literature in the English Department at the University of Southampton. He is the author of Constructions of 'the Jew' in English Literature and Society (1993), Muriel Spark (2000), editor of Between 'Race' and Culture (1996), Contemporary Jewish Writing in Britain and Ireland: An Anthology (1998) and co-editor of Modernity, Culture and 'the Jew' (1998). Dr Nadia Valman is a lecturer in English at the University of Southampton and the Parkes Centre for the study of Jewish/non-Jewish relations. She has published on Victorian Anglo-Jewish literature, has co-edited Remembering Cable Street and is editor of the journal Jewish Culture and History. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.
