In the spring of 1983 I happened to attend a Toshiko/Lew concert at Carnegie Hall in which the band played numerous selections from this album. All I can say is, WOW!!!! I have been a big fan ever since. Just listen to the wonderful arrangements, the stellar performances by all involved. Ellington, Basie, Kenton, you're all great but you got nothing on Toshiko.
