For years I've worn the Romika slippers, but they don't make them anymore. So I've tried the Europedica slippers. They look just like the Romikas, but they don't have the arch support or feel of the Romikas. Still, they're the best substitute I've found so far. I can still stand on them for a long time without my feet getting tired.

I have an old pair of the original Romikas. I have to give them up because the soles are worn through. The uppers are still in great shape. This style, Europedica 5250, is touted as the replacement. They are expensive, and do not fulfill as replacements. I wore them inside and they stayed on my feet, but as soon as I wore them outside, one flew off my foot when I took a step. I could not return them because I had worn them outside. They do not mold to the foot as my old Romikas did, and they do not stay on my feet. Europedica 5250 does not conform to my feet, but simply stretches out. I would not recommend them.

I bought this show because it was the closest thing I could find to the Romika's that I'd had and wore out. I could no longer find the Romika's so I tried this shoe. The Europedica was ill-fitted with poor construction. Bah Humbug!

The most comfortable shoes I've ever owned,

I've tried every kind of clog known to man for the last 40 years, including many shoes bought in Europe as well as in the US, and these shoes are absolutely the most comfortable ones I have ever owned. I bought one pair over a year ago and I have worn almost nothing else from the day I put them on, because they are so comfortable, easy to walk in, and they still look like new, despite having walked miles on three different continents.

I also ordered these thinking they were the Romika, mokasso 102 for women. And, I returned them. They did not feel at all like the real thing, the romika's. I am really disappointed they are not making these anymore! :(

This is the one shoe/slipper I can put on after a long day and it always makes my feet feel better. Whether it is around the house or even going outside in the yard or getting the mail, the material on the sole is wear resistant, but the suede-like top is not conducive to rain.
Even though it doesn't have much padding inside, the arch support is just what makes my feet feel more relaxed, especially if I have had shoes on all day or evening that 'look good' but leave your feet really sore or tired. I also ordered some for family for Christmas.

These are the second pair of these slippers I have. They are most comfortable and some days I have forgotten I had them on and ended up wearing them out the door to work! Fortunately they don't look like slippers so I was able to get away with wearing slippers to work. Great shoe and well made.

These Europedica slipper/shoes appear similar to the "WALK ON AIR/INDOOR OUTDOOR Slippers sold by Hammacher Schlemmer but there are differences: These are slightly cheaper. They are clunkier in shape. The toe of the shoe is bulbous and sits up high. The soles are not as light. These were made in China whereas the WALK ON AIR/INDOOR OUTDOOR Slippers were made in Portugal. The stitching and finishing details of this shoe are less refined. The mesh liner inside this shoe is fraying.I wear them both with fleece socks. No floating on air feeling when I change into either of the shoe brands. Neither of the shoe brands have built up arch supports or any other engineering--no therapeutic features--but, the slippers are roomy enough to insert your own orthotics, gel inserts, etc, into the shoe. The higher price is not justified. For around $20-$30 you can find slippers as good.

what built-in arch support???,

First of I ordered them from the Footsmart catalog and not from amazon, the reason I mention this is because I want to warn you all that they do NOT pay for return shipping! I had big expectations for these because of the high price (I usually never pay more than 25. - for any house slippers)
I specifically wanted good quality slippers with a great built-in arch support ...as far as I can say is it does not have any arch support! I also don't consider them soft or cozy; they feel rock hard on my feet. They are definitely not worth the money and are why too overpriced. 15. - walmart slippers are 10 times better than those. They only good thing about them is that they look good and the none slip rubber soles; at least you can't fall on your butt to easily when you walk on tiles or wood. I would say save your money.

I had worn Romeka slippers before and these look exactly like the ones I had. So I tried them, because the price was right. At first they were not comfortable, but I am not one to return things, so I kept wearing them. It's been a few weeks and they are starting to fit like a good glove. They are becoming more comfortable every day. I can say now that I would recommend them.
