This review is from: Europe's Reformations, 1450-1650: Doctrine, Politics, and Community (Critical Issues in History) (Paperback)
This one volume text of Europe's Reformation adequately covers the important features and issues of the Reformation. No, it does not have the depth or weighty material of larger, expanded or multiple volume work but for the person interested in knowing the people, events plus 'whys and 'hows' this work does a good job. The references are scholarly and the reading is not cumbersome. Nor does one need a thesaurus nearby to define terminology. For students of history, western civilation or for religious studies, this would be a great addition to have or own.
