This review is from: Evan and Jaron (Audio CD)
I heard "crazy for this girl" ONCE and only the ending part, and I HAD to find out who sang it! I called the d.j. and he told me and I had to wait two weeks for the CD to come out. YES, I purchased a whole cd based on one song. But I was right! And very happy that I like every song I have heard!I did the same thing with NINE DAYS and I love every song on their cd too. I was amazed!!! I am still needing to listen to about 4 more songs - I keep pressing the repeat button for #3 and #7 and #9 lately. I am a Goo Goo Doll, Foo Fighters, Tonic, Enrique Iglesis (yeah....:) ) ,Nine Days, Third Eye Blind, Vertical Horizon fan. Just to let you know that this Evan and jaron cd fits in with all these guys in some manner. Hope this is helpful.

These Captivating Twins!!!,

I first heard Evan and Jaron on RateThe Music.com. I only heard a clip but I immediately knew I really liked them. Then to my delight my local radio station started playing them. I was in love with "Crazy For This Girl" the first time I heard it through completely. Then when I saw them on Rosie O'Donnell I was so captivated by their performance and their interview. So then I bought the Cd and I haven't stopped listening to it since. I love all the songs. They are so spell-binding and I relate to many of them. In this day of same ol' music they are refreshing to hear and I know this cd will be heavily played. Hats off to these twins who have shared their art with us!!!! If you like MatchBox Twenty (I'm a huge fan), Goo Goo Dolls and/or Vertical Horizon you will love this cd!!! So why are you still sitting there? Buy this cd now!!! You won't be sorry!!!

Refreshing in a world overrun by boybands...,

There is hope for music! Evan and Jaron are really, truly musicians (which is hard to find nowadays). All I hear on the radio is that bubblegum crap that everyone likes. Then...one day, I heard "Crazy for this Girl". I wasn't thoroughly impressed until I heard the piano solo. From there, I went from mildly impressed to extremely impressed. These boys are really artists! I bought their CD and found that all of the songs are unbelievable. Evan and Jaron are often accused of being boyband wannabes. This couldn't be farther from the truth. They 1) have class (I met them once at a show...they were incredibly nice). 2) They are unbelievable live. All these boybands and pop princesses lip sync...E&J do acoustic shows and nail harmonies like nobody else. 3) They write beautiful songs. These songs are filled with emotion and meaning. They are a true joy to listen to! Anyways, I strongly suggest this CD. You won't regret it!

Classic pop-rock, well worth your investment,

I'm from Atlanta and I've known about Evan and Jaron for at least five years. They used to play all around the Emory University campus, where I live, but I'd never really listened to their music. When I heard "Crazy for this Girl" for the first time, I was immediately hooked and surprised, because, to be honest, I didn't think I'd like their stuff. I got the CD a few weeks later and was even more surprised, as it's become one of my favorite CDs of the whole year. If you like catchy pop-rock with lots of harmonies, then this is for you. There are so many strong single candidates that I'm not sure how Columbia is going to pick just one to follow up the success of "Crazy for this Girl". I hear that "From My Head to My Heart" (also featured in "The Runaway Bride") has gotten the nod. It's difficult for me to pick out favorites, because I really do like them all, but I especially like uptempo catchiness of "Outerspace", "Ready or Not", and "Done Hangin' on Maybe". The midtempo songs like "Wouldn't it be Nice to be Proud" and the slower ones such as "The Distance" vary up the tempo and pace of the CD. Overall, I really can't recommend this CD enough. I listen to it all the time, even four months after buying it. I'm a little concerned with all the teenage-girl attention that Evan and Jaron have received. Yes, they're young and cute, but don't let that get in the way of your enjoying them - they're not just another teenybopper band so don't be fooled.

How Can You Not Like This CD?!?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Evan and Jaron (Audio CD)
This CD is absolutely wonderful! It always puts me in a good mood. I first heard Evan and Jaron about a year ago. I haven't heard any of their orginal stuff like Concentrate or Live @ KaLo's, except for what you can find on Napster, but I do own We've Never Heard of You Either. That CD got me hooked on them, but this CD has me fully addicted to them! I knew this CD by heart in less than a week, that's how much I played it. And I'm still playing it all the time now! I very highly recommened getting this CD. If you like Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Vertical Horizon, Guster, Beatles, or anything like that then you will love these guys. I highly recommend them to anyone I know. Trust me, you will like them. Just ask my roomate - I've got her hooked on them too now! :-)

I don't know what took me so long to get this album. Friends of mine kept telling me how great it was, but I more or less brushed them off. I finally gave in and bought it... and it didn't come out of my CD player for over two weeks. I love this CD. It is now in my carrying case and goes everywhere with me. Great harmonies, lyrics... everything. It has slow and heartbreaking, fast and fun, and everything in between.

2 Very Talented Guys,

Evan and Jaron's debut CD is a great way to spend an hour. They have great voices, and they write and produce most of their own music. The type of songs vary from catchy pop tunes ("Crazy For This Girl", "From My Head To My Heart", "Ready or Not"), over to folkish tunes ("On The Bus", "Wouldn't It Be Nice To Be Proud"), over to melodic ballads ("You Don't Know Me", "I Could Fall"). All of the songs have a lot to offer and none of them sound like songs you may have heard before. Evan and Jaron know how to write distinctive hits which don't sound like they were popped out of Lou Pearlman's hit machine. It's something different for the radio nowadays. I highly recommend this CD if you want something fresh to listen to.

Acoustic Classic,

With their second major label release, Evan and Jaron finally feel assured in their music. The single "Crazy for this Girl" is just so infectious that of course the WB has been using it to promote Dawson's Creek (the ultimate sign of coolness it would seem). There are other songs on this album that are just as catchy, from the sing-song "From My Head to my Heart" (previously on the Runaway Bride soundtrack) and the somber "You Don't Know Me." Not all the songs catch fire upon first listen, so be warned... but after a few listens, this probably won't leave your CD player for a few weeks.

Can I give 5 stars to Evan AND Jaron (10 total) ? ?,

Evan and Jaron are the kind of guys that girls will swoon over and guys will say " I know that feeling " - it's sorta like that great feeling of freedom when you put the top downand cruise a freeway - a sense of total abandon, but safe at the same time. "Crazy For This Girl" is the first of what I hope is a string of singles for these guys. Even mor surprising is the fact that these guys write most of their own stuff too. WOW! Since the downloads aren't here yet, check out their website (evanandjaron.com) to listen to clips of all their songs. 10 stars guys!

I heard Crazy for this Girl on my way home from spending time with someone I'm quickly falling in love with. It is amazing how a song can describe someone's feelings so completely, like this song describes mine for this person. After hearing the song I searched for mp3's of the song because it wasn't released yet. In searching for the mp3's I found mp3's for other songs on the CD. I listened to them and they were all great songs too, so I bought the CD.
