Rarely does one find simple arrangements of great songs that remain so faithful to the composer's sound. Almost without exception, Evans' arrangements are beautiful, sound like Sondheim, and easy enough for a novice to play (even sight-reading!) I absolutely recommend this collection to anyone who loves Sondheim but can't play most of his music!
