I noticed the price decreased 3 bucks after I bought it lame, so you should definitely get it now ha. Amazon has the cheapest price for this head and it is amazing. I can tell it will last a long time and it sounds very crisp and feels great to play on. I was originally referred to it by Matt Griener of August Burns Red after watching a video interview. Its pretty much a marching snare head made for a kit snare and it already has a flat crisp sound but I still use an e-ring cause I like it extremely crisp but is sounds good without it too.

This head = Wow.

Now i'm a huge fan of a coated Ambassador or G1 on my snare. The response and sound is amazing. But this head is something else.

Completely different sound to a G1. Prob the opposite.

Long explination short, this head has the response of a G1 but has next to NO overtones. This IS THE PERFECT HEAD for a Gigantic back beat crack on the snare. It sounds like a normal head with an O ring or moon gel. (the same way a marching snare has that extremely fast response). Its the equivalent to putting an EMAD on your bass to kill overtones but for your snare.. Seriously stop buying normal heads and drowning them in dampeners (like a tool) and buy this head if a short snare is your sound. It also pronounces Ghost notes just a little more than a typical one ply head making your snare louder and adding texture to your playing.

This thick Kevlar Head with a Thin Mylar film on top not only looks sexy but it'll last you for AGES.

I love this snare head. I've been beating it to death for over 6 months and it doesn't show any sign of wear. I'm smashing it with 2b sticks daily and it seems bullet proof (It is made of a Kevlar like weave after all ). I'm really wondering if I'll ever need to buy another one.

Oh and it sounds awesome too. Nice and crisp, very little ring. This is what I like but might not be for everyone. No need for dampening on this badboy. Highly recommend.

My son has played on three snare heads in the past but this head was the best. He is a hardcore drummer so this head is good for him. He's had the head for almost 4 months now and it does not look worn out. I would recommend this head for all drummers if they want a good durable drum head.

This hybrid snare head is amazing. The sound is awesome. It feels like a very durable head and I know its going to last a while. It sounds great if you play metal. The drummer for BMTH uses this head and so does the drummer for August Burns Red. It has a very sharp attack and there is no "boing" sound or anything. Its very shart and crisp. I highly recommend this thing if your into metal.

I went to my friend's gig recently, saw that his snare head was gray and it piqued my interest. I asked him about it, he told me he used this when he was in marching band and uses them for his drum set too, after listening to them play live I KNEW I had to get one for myself. Ordered one pretty immediately afterwards and it is the best sounding snare head I've ever had. My drum instructor told me he used these as well and that I would probably not need to replace it for a loooooong time. This thing can take a beating! I have been bashing it for a few months now and it still looks, sounds and feels great. If they use kevlar for bulletproofing materials, I can only imagine how durable this snare head is going to be. The snare head is very sensitive as well making it great for rolls, I really love this product. I want to get one for my mini snare as well, great sound!! Must have :)

This head is amazing. Extremely loud and compressed sound, great for metal. It thunders with the natural resonance of the drum, the unwanted pinging resonance is naturally absent from its sound. There is no need to use any kind of damping ring or moon gels (or tape and tissues if you go down that road).

It is a think head and it must be tightened very tight. I believe this is where the magic happens, the tightness and thickness of the head explode with the drums natural resonant spectrum while the fibers damp the unwanted resonances. Its really a beautiful sound.

Because its so tight it makes blast beats and fast rolls quick, easy, clean and very distinguishable (making it easy to hear when blasts/rolls are ever so slightly off). There is hardly any need for compression from electronics.

Love it.
It makes my guitar player wince like he's getting a hammer slammed into the jelatinous brain matter he possesses or at least what's left of it.
The head lets me play the way I want while getting the sound I want at the volume level I perform at.
Have not used it to record yet but if it sounds this good now I cannot wait to record with it.
It's on a Noble & Cooley 5 3/4 x 13 inch Alloy Classic snare drum.
This head looks like I have not played it even after 3 hours of smacking it with 5B sticks.
I have yet to try it out on wood snare drums but as soon as I can order a 14" version I will give it a go on a Sonor S Classix (Sonor Lite) and a Craviotto Solid Maple at a lower tuning.
