Adorable and just what I needed,
This review is from: Even Bad Dogs Go to Heaven: More from the Dog Chapel (Hardcover)
If you've ever had the pleasure of having a "bad dog," then you know how at ease I felt when I saw the newest title of Stephen Huneck's latest book. I've gifted the first Dog Chapel book to many of my friends who have lost their doggy members of their families. The first Chapel book has brought much closure to me and my friends over the years, and when I saw "More from the Dog Chapel," I had to get a few copies right away. I absolutely love this new cover and the new art is as amazing as it is touching. I recommend this book as a condolence gift or just to leave on your coffee table as a conversation piece. Stephen Huneck's humor and genius will be missed. If he believed that "bad dogs" go to heaven, then I'm certainly a relieved believer.

Charming, entertaining...will put a smile on your face!,

What a wonderful, entertaining and charming book! "Even Bad Dogs Go To Heaven" has a really "eye catching" and wonderful cover featuring a Golden Retriever and inside features some really beautiful pictures of Dog Mountain in Vermont and the dog parties held there each year followed by classic Huneck artwork, whimsical drawings w/ witty captions that will make you smile, if not laugh out loud. Love it and would recommend it for children and adults and a great book to give as a gift. Enjoy it, I certainly did!!

I am a big fan of Stephen Huneck's book "The Dog Chapel." I loved both the wonderful woodcut illustrations and Huneck's sense of humor, his understanding of how deep the dog and human bond is and his advice on how to deal with the tragic loss of the four legged members of our family. This sequel to "The Dog Chapel" lives up to the first. Again, it made me laugh and tear up as the book goes through the life cycle of our canine companions. I also enjoyed all the color photographs of Dog Mountain and the actual Dog Chapel. The place looks amazing! The Chapel is covered floor to ceiling with photos of dogs loved and lost. It is nice to see how many people love their dogs as much as I do. I hope I can visit in person someday. I was very saddened to read in the forward that artist and author Stephen Huneck passed away shortly after he completed this book. I hope they can keep the Dog Chapel going so I can make the trip.

We recently unexpectedly lost the last of the three dogs we had while my children were growing up. My college aged daughter was devastated over the lose of her special (and sometimes wicked)dog, and grieved for a long time. I purchased this at the request of a friend. Simple for any age to understand, but it helped immensely. The information about the Dog Chapel was amazing. Thank you!
