I used this item as part of my teaching lesson about the history of the Blues.
The children listened to the songs and then wrote their own Blues song by the end of the week.

I'm a music teacher and I bought this to help me introduce my fifth grade students to the blues and jazz music in general. Once I played them "Hug Me, Mommy Hug Me" the blues seemed to be much more accessible to them (it's a pretty funny song). I am quite grateful that someone took the time to make a recording like this! I also loved the quality of singing in this CD - it is difficult to find good children's singing these days without it being too "poppish" or trying too hard to imitate the American Idols. The kids can totally relate to the lyrics while learning that singing beautifully with style isn't impossible for them. I recommend this 100%!
