Even More Walking, July 8, 2007
This review is from: Even More Walking (DVD)
Even More Walking was an enjoyable flick. It gave me a unique insight into the lives and the culture of the PCT thru-hikers from the gear choices they make to the technical problems they need to solve. As a Colorado thru-hiker trying to reach that level I learned a lot about what it takes to achieve the high mileage, and in fact, that my lightweight setup is much lighter and more functional than many of the folks out there have on the PCT who do not get discouraged, slogging out more miles than I have ever attempted. Yet. This is not a Hollywood movie, but a documentary made by Squatch & his buddies for the benefit of hikers like me. I recommend it for all the reasons stated here. I liked it a lot, and it was worth my buck. Wyrdwind.

Third time is the charm. An absolute must for PCT enthusiasts., April 25, 2007
This review is from: Even More Walking (DVD)
Well folks, he's done it again. Squatch, with the consummate skill of a seasoned veteran has masterfully captured life on the Pacific Crest Trail like no one else can. His first two documentaries are powerful no doubt but this time he's upped the anti, he's raised the bar and set a new standard for capturing the PCT thru-hiker in their natural habitat. Right out of the gate he nails it, from the visually stunning jacket photography to the spot on cinematic content, you won't be disappointed. Scott "Squatch" Herriott has serendipitously managed to unearth the perfect combination of scenery, hikers, the trail, trail information and humor resulting in a "Hiker Jambalaya" sure to satisfy the most discerning palate. In hiker jargon, this is a one pot meal you don't want to miss! So come along and join Squatch and A melting pot of colorful wanderers as they traversse over 26oo miles of what is arguably one of the most diverse and scenic long distance hiking trails in the world.

Best one yet, March 30, 2007
This review is from: Even More Walking (DVD)
I really enjoyed Herriott's first two films on the PCT
("Walk" & "Still Walking") and found in this, his
third effort, his best work to date on the subject.
Don't get me wrong, the first two are both excellent,
but the editing is even tighter in this one, there's
more music, and, in my opinion, more laughs. This
without diminishing a sense of the sublime one can get
from such a long distance trail. The fact that he
hiked more miles this time (over 700) enhances the
film as well. All three make a worthy trilogy of the
thru-hiking experience. Highly recommended.
