Pros:
-Reasonable price
-Easy to assemble from box
-Very easy to use in vehicle
-Simple to buckle child using car's own seat belt
-Transitions to a backless booster

Cons:
-Not for use on airplane -must check as luggage
-No LATCH tethers. Seat itself is not anchored to the car in
any way unless the seat belt is buckled. For example, if
running an errand without child in the car the seat is loose
and can shift in seat unless parent remembers to buckle seat
in with the car's seat belt.

We have been very happy with this seat for our 40lb, 4 1/2 year old and would recommend it to others. Keep in mind that it is impossible to determine the safety of a car seat simply by looking at it. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety at [...] can provide a great deal of information including picture listings of crash tested seats both recommended and those not recommended based on their research.

I bought this booster seat for my little girl after a lot of research. This seat seemed to meet all safety standards and was affordable. Those were my first two requirements and after seeing the seat in person, I am very happy with my purchase. The seat is sturdy and the belt is positioned correctly. I did buy a seat belt cover that will double as a pillow for her on longer car rides (also sold on amazon, I believe Sunshine was the name brand) As an added bonus she finds the seat comfortable and can't wait to be in the car at night to use the reading lights. I also found this very easy to put together. The story goes a little something like this: I tracked my package and found that the seat was out for delivery. I wanted to surprise my little girl by picking her up from school with the seat in the car already. So I stopped home really quick, with only 20 minutes before pick-up time, to see if the seat arrived. It was sitting on my front porch. I grabbed the box, opened it with my keys, quickly glanced at the directions (which were easy to follow)and put the seat together outside with time to spare. Needless to say this story had a very happy little girl in it. :)

We purchased a no back booster seat for our 8 year old and he has never liked it. So we purchased this one and he loves it. It's easy for him to use because the seat belt is hooked onto the booster seat and is easy for him to start. It's also very comfortable--the padding in the seat is much more substantial than other back seats we looked at. We would recommend it.

I agree with the following other reviews...
This carseat is well padded
It does not come apart from the base when it is picked up

I disagree with some of the others....
This booster will recline slightly if your car seat reclines.
My child is 6. I don't have any problems with his head coming forward when sleeping but he doesn't spend a whole lot of time sleeping in the car either.

I cannot comment on the lights. I have not pointed them out because we have overhead lights in our vehicle. And finally, if you are worried about your child slipping out from under the belt, keep him in a 5 point harness!!

We decided to buy this chair because of the good price and it can convert to booster with removable back.But when I put it on my car,I found there's nothing I can fix it on the seat like normally booster dose(at least has 2 hooks on the back).Since the seat belt has to cross whole chair,I think it won't have safety concern.otherwise, the design are good,the fabric is comfortable,won't feel too hot in this crazy TX summer.

These chairs were easy to assemble and feel very durable compared to some others we bought for our in-laws. However, my 3-year-olds found them very uncomfortable on our 7-hour trip to New York. The seat has little to no cushioning, so their bottoms got sore after a while and they kept shifting in their chairs. Also, if I could find a booster with back that also reclines, that would be good. These sit so straight up, it was impossible for them to sleep.

This is a great booster at a great price. I just bought two, one for my 5 year old and one for my 3 year old. I bought one similar to this 2 years ago when I moved my then 3 year old to a booster. Loved it. So when it was time to put my youngest in one, I bought 2 of these...so there would be no fighting over who gets the old one and who gets the new one! It's easy to use, easy to transfer from one car to another. The cupholders are great. It's comfortable for those long trips. The kids love the lights on the headrest for reading books, finding lost toys and snacks and just to see each other in the car at night! I highly recommend this seat!

My twin kids love these seats. They are much more comfy than the old ones and take up less space which is critical to my vehicle. The reading lights are a big hit as well, especially on long trips back grom Grandma's.

I have 2 kids, and it was time to move my 9 months old from the graco car seat to a regular 5-point harness car seat. The older one was tall enough to move to a regular booster seat.

So I bought these EVENFLO BIG KID DLX car seats for the big guy!

It is easy to assemble and the colors are great (and match my car's interior).

The lights require 3 AA batteries per light, for a total of 6AA batteries per seat.

But this feature alone is worth the extra $$ compare to the regular BIG KID model. We all know how kids love flashlights and a bit of autonomy...

This seat is well made. Be careful when assembling the back into the base to not get pinched. It takes a little bit of force to get it to pop into place. The cup holders on both sides actually fold into the base of the seat. A lot nicer than the detachable ones which my grils constantly knock off. Lord willing the true purpose and craftsmanship of the seat will never be put to the test, but if it is I have confidence that this is one of the best on the market.
