If you go to [...] there is a great deal of information available on car seats.
One of the things I've observed is that a lot of people have trouble properly installing their kids car seats; infant, toddler or booster types.
On the referenced web site you can find "Child Safety Seat Inspection Stations" listed throughout the country. They may be located in police/fire stations or other town, city or county departments. They can help correct and adjust the car seat so it fits properly.

1.)ADVICE TO POTENTIAL BUYER-CHECK OUT EVENFLO'S WEB SITE. THEY OFFER A $5.00 COUPON ON-LINE.
2.) ON THEIR WEB SITE READ ABOUT EVENFLO'S SIDE IMPACT TESTING (THERE ARE NO TEST STANDARDS FROM THE NHTSA YET). EVENFLO HAS TESTED THESE CAR SEATS USING THE SAME STANDARDS AS THOSE FOR AUTOMOBILE SIDE IMPACT. THE'RE THE ONLY COMPANY DOING THIS AS FAR AS I KNOW.
I also love how plush the seat is. I have purchased an evenflo seat before and I hated it. This one I love. It allows you to move the arms up and down and move/remove the cup holders. I also like that you can remove the back of the seat with ease. The britax was trunky to remove the back of the seat. I liked this seat so much I bought a second one for our other car.
Drawbacks: the plastic material is more flexible (flimsy?) than I would like. The side supports on the head rest are just slightly too small, such that the boys' heads slide off sometimes when they are sleeping (a silly millimeter or two more would seem to have done the trick). The boys complained about their bottoms hurting on longer trips (a few hours or more), although we seem to have fixed that by sliding a thin piece of foam rubber under the bottom seat cover.
Overall, the shortcomings are acceptable given that there is a significant increase in cost to the next models up the food chain, and some of those that I have had experience with (through neighbors, nieces and nephews) have other drawbacks that this seat doesn't.
Bottom line- happy with the purchase.

I've had two of these for about two years now and they have held up nicely. It's basically a bit of padded cloth over a hard plastic frame, so there may be more comfortable ones... Read morePublished 22 months ago by JR
