The Evenflo Big Kid LX car seats are quite good. I've 3 of them installed in our Honda mini for our triplet grandsons & they fit fine.
If you go to www.nhtsa.gov there is a great deal of information available on car seats.
One of the things I've observed is that a lot of people have trouble properly installing their kids car seats; infant, toddler or booster types.
On the referenced web site you can find "Child Safety Seat Inspection Stations" listed throughout the country. They may be located in police/fire stations or other town, city or county departments. They can help correct and adjust the car seat so it fits properly.

This is a well-made, easy to haul-around booster seat. The manufacturers say that it is "suitable for 30-100 pounds" on the outside of the box, but do not disclose the height requirements (nor age requirements, for that matter). We bought it for a vacation-- thought it would be lighter and easier to "gate check" than a conventional, convertible toddler carseat. The owner's manual (once you open the box) reveals that the child must also be 38" tall and at least 3 years old, which would have been NICE TO KNOW in advance of buying it (our son is about 37" tall, and was really just a tad too short for it). Even Evenflo's website does not include this critical information in the carseat's description! Once he's a little bit taller, it'll be a very nice carseat. LOVE the retractable drink holders (both sides) and the arm rests that pivot up (much easier for kid to climb into seat). It is very easy to detach the seat from the back portion, which is good if you want to collapse it to stick in a large bag for gate checking, but not so good when you're carrying it by the back (the release handle is in the back and is the most convenient thing to hang on to) and it "releases" and comes in two! It would be nice if they attached a carrying handle. Good seat, though. Pretty inexpensive, too.

I have 4 kids in car seats. This is seat #12 for us. We rotate them in and out as the seat gets older, and the kids get bigger. I was looking for a nice, safe seat, that was narrow. This helps if you are trying to get three in car seats in the back of the car. I can do 3 in the back seat with two in this seat. The other is a regular booster from britax.

I also love how plush the seat is. I have purchased an evenflo seat before and I hated it. This one I love. It allows you to move the arms up and down and move/remove the cup holders. I also like that you can remove the back of the seat with ease. The britax was trunky to remove the back of the seat. I liked this seat so much I bought a second one for our other car.
