4.0 out of 5 stars Worked great for me
I used this pump for many months with my first child and am about to add it to my registry for my second. I didn't notice it being too noisy because I've never used another one. Occassionally, the small parts inside the pump would stick or back up with milk, but it was only once in a while (and after many months of use) and it was a quick fix. I pumped probably about 3...

And their company policy sucks too.

I bought this pump at local Target store and 2 weeks into using it, the motors lost the sucking powers. We called the customer service and they gladly sent in the replacement within 3 days. The new set of pumps survived for a week before loosing the sucking power.

I used this pump for many months with my first child and am about to add it to my registry for my second. I didn't notice it being too noisy because I've never used another one. Occassionally, the small parts inside the pump would stick or back up with milk, but it was only once in a while (and after many months of use) and it was a quick fix. I pumped probably about 3 days a week for 2 -3 feedings a day. I saw bad reviews when I bought it the first time, but justified myself by saying even if I had to replace it after a few months, it would still be 3x cheaper than the highly coveted Medela one (which I badly want but just can't afford). A relative had recommended it to me in the first place and had a good experience with it, so I tried it and was not disappointed.

I bought this pump at local Target store and 2 weeks into using it, the motors lost the sucking powers. We called the customer service and they gladly sent in the replacement within 3 days. The new set of pumps survived for a week before loosing the sucking power.

The pump is noisy (but that's what you get for the price).

Upon calling the customer service for a refund of my money, they tell me the company policy is to not give refunds but exchange on any other Evenflo products only (online only). This means I'm going to use part of my money on stupid shipping instead of real products. The rep. says she is making an exception for me and that she will only be able to refund the cost of the pump and not the sales tax that I paid at the store. Reason for this: they never received the money for that.... Hello! Govt. receives the sales tax money and the merchants should be able to claim that back for their customers who return their products.

I'm not going back to Evenflo unless they improve on their product quality as well as company policy. I wish I'd read the reviews on amazon prior to purchasing the product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Takes entirely too long to pump..., April 10, 2011
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Electric Breast Pump (Baby Product)
This pump is noisy and it takes me about 45 minutes to get about 3 ounces out of one breast. I've been using it 3-4 times per week. The only good thing about this pump is that I didn't buy it; it was a gift. I hear lots of good things about Medela, so I'm going to buy one of their pumps.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sucky Pump, March 10, 2011
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Electric Breast Pump (Baby Product)
This pump does not work very well. I'm a working mother with 2 older children and this pump stopped performing on it's third use. I'm tired of having to fight with it and it's not worth paying a dime for. I have used manual pumps that worked better than this one. I will be looking for a new one this weekend! Do not buy this product, you'll regret it. If cost is an issue, use a manual pump it will work better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth your time or money, January 3, 2011
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Electric Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I use this product daily, about 5 or so many times each day.
I am stuck with it because it was a gift and I don't have the money to buy a nicer one.
I have lots of complaints about this product...
The first problem happened soon after I started using it. These pumps have rubber pieces that stop and release the milk from the pump into the bottle. These rubber pieces clog up. Which makes the pump back the milk up into the suction parts. The only way I can release the milk is by unsuctioning my breast and unscrewing the bottle. It is a huge pain to do, especially when I have to do it every couple minutes.
Another problem I have, is related to the last one. If I let the milk build up too long it starts going into the motor (somehow) and starts spraying out a hole in the side or out the hole that the pumps power is plugged in at.
The last problem I have (so far) is that one motor is more powerful, so one breast always produces way more because one pump sucks harder.
Anyway, this is not recommended.
Oh and it is also VERY loud.

3.0 out of 5 stars not great "design", o'k suction, April 19, 2010
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Electric Breast Pump (Baby Product)
i actually didnt buy it @[...], it was the only pump my insurance would pay for (since its the cheapest), so I got it.it worked for about 2 weeks ocassional use, then 1 of them lost the suction.I called the med supply store I go it from and they replaced it.So far its been working 3xday ok.we will se how long it will last.
the pump is not so great, it does pump , but you have to sit still and bend over so milk wil drain into the tube and down to the bottle.the attachment is tilted upward for some reason, so if you seat straight the milk wil not drain down.
when I had a lot of milk the pump would just choke, and t\milk back up, and it would start spitting it through the little hole on the side, then you have to shut it down and wait till it dries out inside (i think it was 1 of the reasons 1st pump stopped working?)
the motors are right on the pump, so together with a bottle its heavy on the breast.
I sort of found the way to do it "hands free", i seat in front of my PC desk and put it on my lap, against the desk.that way I can use computer and do some work while pumping (if i dont move my body.
the silicone shields hurt a lot they stick to the breast and are very painfull when you have to remove the pump.good thing i tried without them and it works much better.
if you use it on batteries it barely last through 1 session.

too bad i have nothing to compare it with, but i'm looking into buying Medela now, reading all reviews.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, March 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Electric Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I bought this pump after using the single pump on maternity leave. Not the best compared to others, suction decreases over time & the adapter shorted out on this one & the single pump. Replacement can be ordered from Evenflo, for a fee. Spend the money elsewhere if you plan to pump consistently.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work, July 14, 2009
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Electric Breast Pump (Baby Product)
The ordering process was easy, it's the product that is horrible. The first one I bought in the store and it only lasted 5 months. The one I ordered from Amazon hasn't worked since day one. I'm going to search for another brand of pumps because for as expensive as these electric pumps are they don't last long enough to pay the price. I'm trying to do the right thing for my son by breast feeding, but I work so I need to pump. It makes it really hard on my husband to watch him when I don't have milk to bring home for him to feed our son the next day. I've had to hand squeeze and its awful, because I don't want to spend more money on a bad product. I'm still trying to return the one I ordered but the customer center closes before I get home from work.

1.0 out of 5 stars This thing sucks! And not the good kind..., January 29, 2010
By
Des "Des" (Bakersfield, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evenflo Comfort Select Performance Dual Electric Breast Pump (Baby Product)
I have a six year old boy and a 2 month old girl. With my first child I purchased this pump and it stopped working after a month of use. When I registered for my daughter, I had no choice but to put this same pump on the registry because of the lack of options money wise, but i figured, hey, six years ought to be plenty of time for them to improve their product...wrong! My first day going back to work the stupid thing broke and being that it was bought for me at my baby shower months before I even gave birth, the measly 90 day warranty was of course expired. Please, for your own good DO NOT buy this product. If you can't afford to spend at least $100 on a motorized pump, do yourself a favor and just go with the manual ones. They take a little more work but they get the job done and the only way they'll stop working is if you break your hand!
