How to put the seat fabric back on after washing,
By
This review is from: Evenflo ExerSaucer Delux - Wild Thing (Baby Product)
1. Push the fabric seat down thru the middle of the exersaucer as if it were properly in place. Make sure the white label sewn onto the seat is toward the INSIDE of the seat at the moment. The label should also be toward the back of the seat, which is where the baby's back would be. The white sewn-on label has a red diamond on it, though mine was washed off. It should be toward a tiny triangle mark molded into the outside of the seat back.
2. Fold the seat fabric over the red plastic seat back so the white sewn-on label is now on the outside of the seat rim. Do the same all around, so the fabric covers the red plastic seat rim sort of like a padded bumper. 3. Grab a thin implement like a butter knife. Put the point of the knife inside one of the elastic loops and push it between the seat ring and the rotating ring, from outside to inside. There is a thin slot here all around which you can see through. The loop should go through fairly easily, in a horizontal orientation. 4. When you get a loop thru to the inside, grab it, pull it down under the rotating ring, then toward the outside of the ES, and finally around one of the little red prongs on the underside of the rotating ring (made for this purpose). 5. Back up top, grab the white plastic tab that's attached to the elastic loop you just fastened. Lever it down and into the slot between the seat ring and the rotating ring that you just pushed the loop through. This holds the fabric down low around the red plastic rings, where it belongs. 6. Repeat all around.

Not bad,

I chose this model of exersaucer because it was the least "busy;" no batteries, no flashing lights, no loud music or beeping or other ADHD-inducing extras. It's pretty basic, but our 4-month-old enjoys it.
We weren't sure if she'd be able to sit and play in it yet, although it is recommended for 4 months and up, but she does just fine. If your baby is still a little wobbly, like ours, just be sure she keeps her hands up near the tray. Our daughter sometimes puts her hands down into the seat near her legs, and has almost hit her head on one of the toys when she couldn't balance without her hands. My only complaint about this exersaucer is that the toys are kind of lame. The spinning frog is a hit, but the other toys are pretty bland chunks of plastic. Luckily, you can buy "Switcheroos," different toys that snap in and out of the holes in the tray. Some of these are much more interesting than the included toys, so I think we'll be upgrading soon. All in all, though, this exersaucer is a good toy for the money.

A Fun Basic,
By
This review is from: Evenflo ExerSaucer Delux - Wild Thing (Baby Product)
This is a nice basic product. My baby would be overstimulated by all the lights and noise of the more expensive versions. It is a great place for baby to bounce and have fun in and it gives parent's arms a break. I can't imagine the average four month old enjoying it, it seems more suited to a six month old child. The assembly took about 30 minutes. Read the directions before you begin and don't try to do it with your little one around. One place where the instuctions are not as clear as they could be: When you put the three yellow legs into position, they just hang there. Don't, as I did, waste your time trying to snap them into position. They won't be held firm until the next step when you you slip in the springs and position the caps.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this product. My little one (we got this when he was 6 months old) loves to play in it. As someone else pointed out, the toys could be better for teething on but that wouldn't prevent me from buying this product.

Great Bargain,

I'm a grandmother and bought this to have available when my grandkids come to visit. The price was a big factor in the selection, but it turned out that my grandkids have liked it better than the comparable Baby Einstein product I bought for their house that cost a lot more. This exersaucer bounces up and down as the child bounces. My youngest grandson has been especially entertained by that feature.

I love this activity center. It is a big help to me when I need to keep the little one occupied. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I didn't like was the assembling part. The directions are not that great.

My 8 month old just had her cleft palate repaired out of state and as we were recovering in the hotel we bought the farm themed exersaucer for the hotel and she LOVED it! but we couldnt bring it home so when i got back home i got online and found this one at a great price! i had actually had the baby einstein saucer toy for my oldest daughter and didnt realize these they could JUMP in and turn around better. so...the price is great, its a great piece of baby equipment to have for ages 4 months-walking, and the option to buy different toys to swap out are great. but if i had it to do over again i would have bought the farm themed one again because sydney liked the toys so much better, it also had an extra feature of folding for travel.

This is such a great product. I bought it for my 4 month old daughter and she loves it. It doesn't have any lights or music, but $40 vs. $100 I don't think it would be that big of a deal. It was relatively easy to put together ... however I did need help from my neighbor with getting the bottom portion of the legs to snap in properly. Other than that it was easy to put this item together. There were only two screws that needed to be put in for the lock on the seat. Everything else was basically just snap-ins.

It was easy to put together. My baby is 5mnths old and enjoys being in it for short periods of time. Its excellent for when you have to get something done and want to keep the baby occupied. Keep in mind that doctors reccomend not having your baby in these types of toys for too long cause it hampers leg devolpment. As in a baby has to crawl before he walks. Another good thing about it is the toys, they look boring to me but the baby seems to be mezorized by the colors. I highly reccomend this product.

This is our third exersaucer. Our first and second ones were FANTASTIC, nothing fancy about them, our 3 month old kids all used them for a long time and loved them. I regret giving them away. This one however was defective right out of the box. I contacted Evenflo and they insisted it was the legs, I knew it wasn't but they decided to send out new legs anyway. I called them back and told them it was the base, it was warped, causing the legs not to make complete contact with the floor, no matter which surface and the thing wobbled all over. Anyway, they told me they couldn't send me a new base because this particular model is being discontinued, BULL! So, they told me to return it to the store. That's great customer service for ya, grrrr!
I always raved about Evenflo and their products, now I will no longer buy or recommend Evenflo products because of this incident. Thankfully my husband was able to rectify the warped base a bit so now it works fine, but for 45 dollars should we have had to tweak it to get it to work as it should have, NO! Over all, if you get a good one, good, you'll love it as will your baby. The toys are cute, the baby is able to get great exercise and it's super cute. If you end up with a defective saucer, good luck dealing with Evenflo! |
