We bought this exersaucer for our son when he was 2 1/2 months old...he used the playmat first, both on his back and for tummy time. He liked that quite a bit! We put the whole saucer together when he was 3 1/2 months old (he had good upper body and head control) and he just loved it! Now he is almost 5 months and he can turn himself to play with different toys and just really gets a kick out of it.

We also like the fact that it folds up for easy portability...and it is very easy to fold and unfold.

Edited to add: Another reviewer posted to say that the paint chips and that Evenflo had not responded to their inquiry about it...we had the same problem, and I also e-mailed Evenflo, getting a very prompt response in which they stated that the paint is non-toxic. It only happened on a couple of spots on ours...I just kept an eye on him after noticing the chips.

Also, I e-mailed the company about the statement in the instructions about "once they can stand flat-footed, they should not use product". They said it is because the baby could tip or climb out of it, because the center of gravity would be off at that point. However, our son loved it so much (and can still enjoy it from time to time when we need to "trap" him while we eat or whatever! :) ) that even though he quickly "technically" outgrew it, he still used it. We just keep a close eye on him while he is in it, and honestly he doesn't look like he is unsafe. (Yet, anyway!)

I still highly recommend this product! :)

We choose this exersaucer over the other choices that were available because we liked the soft mat feature more than exersaucers that have hard surfaces on the bottom. We also liked the variety of toys and sounds on this exersaucer. Our son is six months old now and he has been using this exersaucer just about every day for the past two months. He absolutely LOVES it, and so do we! His favorite toy is the spinner, but he enjoys rotating around and playing with the other toys as well. It has been worth its weight in gold! I especially like the fact that I can easily pick up this exersaucer by the handle and carry it from room to room.... sometimes even while carrying my son in my other arm! We are very happy with this exersaucer and would highly recommend it to others who are looking for a similar item for their baby.

My son (now 4 months) did not love the play mat. We put him on his back and he was unable to reach the toys. We decided to purchase another mat and use this as an exersaucer only. We put him in at 3 1/2 months (he has good head and neck control) He loved it. There was a lot to play with. I thought it was great. Then after only playing with it for two weeks, I noticed the PAINT WAS CHIPPING on the beach ball. I don't believe he ingested any of it, but I dont know what would happen if he did. I have written to evenflo and have not received a responce. MUST READ BEFORE YOU BUY

Thanks to everyones review's on this product here on Baby's R Us website, my husband and I ultimatly decided on this product. Knowing that also if Alex didn't end up likeing it we could always go and exchange it for something eles.

As soon as we brought it home and put her in it, she loves it!! It's really interesting watching her playing in it and moving things around and playing with the musical buttons on it and a bunch of other stuff and seeings that she is only five months old, I just love it when she has found something new on this exersaucer watching her face light up lol, plus it was good to finnaly get her off the floor and I it also looked like she was getting bored, so now she has more little activitys to do now.

I love this exersaucer for a few reasons. Besides my baby loving it, I love the fact that it folds down and folds up easily so that it can be taken places, and also for storage inside the house. I also love the fact that the toys are removable, and washable. We took it to a friend's house, where there was another baby, so we just washed the toys, and let that baby play in it. Also, had I known that this starts out as a gymini and then converts to the megasaucer, I wouldn't have bought a separate gymini! The only negative thing was, getting the clear spinning ball to fit was hard! The metal bar that fits in, is too long, so it took GREAT effort to get it in. But overall, this is one of the best products we bought for our baby.

This thing is great! We used the Playmat for his first 3 months, and then we converted it to the Saucer. He really loved the Playmat and so far, he really loves the Exersaucer! (He is 4 months now.)

My only complaint with the Playmat Stage is the metal bar around the edge - sometimes I would kneel on it and it would hurt. I was always worried my baby would squirm over to the edge and end up with his head on that hard metal bar. Ouch!! He never did though, and he had a lot of fun times on that mat! :)

The Saucer Stage is great, too. My only complaint is the toybar with the hanging toys is really stupid for this Stage. It's great for the Playmat, but for the Saucer, the toys either hang behind baby's head or right in his face. Very stupid design. I took that thing right off and replaced it with 2 EvenFlo "Switch-a-Roos" (Chewy Fish and B is for Bee)

Eliana is 3 months old and just now she's starting to enjoy this procutc in its full ansamble. Any baby younger than that would not have the neck and core control to maintain balance wile in the activity center to make use of her/his arms to play with the different colorful attachments, so "stage 1" ansambly would be preferable.

Safety: I am very satisfied. None of the objects have sharp edges or detach from its position; even after some serious hard pulling. And all the little noice making thingys are well enclosed in their capsules, so no chocking hazard.

Cleaning: My only problem with this product was the complexity of taking the floor matt out to be washed. When the product is put together on "stage 1", babies lay on the matt to play with the hanging fishes and other stuff. But Eliana spits up alot, so I would have to wash it every week, and I would have to pull the base totally appart to get it in and out.
When product is on "stage 2", taking the seat appart for washing is very easy, and since the other surfaces are all plastic, you can just wipe them out.

Travel: This product is very easy to travel with. I whish they would provide a bag or cover to put it in, since you have to take almost all of the attachments out inorder to get is as compact as possible.

OVERALL: I love it. I would've given it 5 stars if not for the cleaning issue.

After only 2 weeks of use, 2 of the legs would not lock into place. The hinge mechanism is poorly made. I would buy a non-folding one.

My four-month old daughter appears totally mesmerized with product. Unfortunately, the sea shell cup stopped working after only two days.

I purchased this exersaucer in 2005 when my daughter was born and used it again with my son. I absolutely Love this thing. It is durable and the kids loved it. The toys pop out of the slots so you can move them around. I also liked the fact that you could purchase additional toys for the Exersaucer. I would highly recommend this to anyone. My kids loved it!
