Product Description

Editorial Reviews

Ah, "le bébé sac." This carrier will hold Baby closer than any other sack this side of Mali--and even there it takes a 6-foot long wrap to do the same job. The Snugli City Sport features several carrying and seating positions, as well as ample head and neck support. Padded torso and shoulder straps make transporting baby (7-26 lbs.) more convenient. Other details: a zippered pocket; ventilated seat, removable lumbar support; and durability. It’s a lightweight, state of the art "toter" designed to be a help, not hinder. --Diane Beall

3.0 out of 5 stars Serves the purpose but could be a lot better!, September 1, 2005

Gianna's Mama (Westchester, New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evenflo Snugli Citysport Carrier- Khaki (Baby Product)
I wasn't able to really use this with my daughter until she was 10 weeks old because the leg openings are really far apart and even now I feel that they are still too far apart. When I take her out of it, she has red marks on her little thighs. While in it though, she's content. She really enjoys being close to me while I walk around while doing chores or just going from place A to B but I am really concerned about the width that her legs are spread while in it and the damage it may be causing to her legs and spine. In reading another review, I also agree that the carrier feels like it's going to fall off because it does not criss cross in the back. I have narrow shoulders and while I'm sure it's really secure, the feeling of it falling off or baby falling out is constantly present. Another review commented on the removable restraints on each side that slide up and down - that when baby gets a little weight around the middle, it is really difficult to open and close them and I agree - it makes it really burdensome to get baby in and out of the carrier. It works but it could be a lot better. This type of product is worth spending a little more money on because it affects baby's spine and legs. We may not have to buy the Baby Bjorn but I'm not sure if there's a comparable item in quality for less the cost. If anyone knows, let me in on the secret!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm, May 18, 2005

This is a really awesome baby carrier. My baby goes to sleep so quickly in it that it amazes me :) I love it and he loves it too. Plus this is one of the only three way carrier I have found so far. Its also very easy to take a baby out of it by just undoing the front without disturbing the sleeping child (but u do need few trials to successfuly work with it). Overall, REALLY GREAT! Even though the back strap is sometimes hard to work with, its a very important security feature.

I actually bought this without reading any reviews ( i was on vacation ). BIG MISTAKE! My baby girl is only 2 1/2 months and 11 lbs., but yet she just fit in the carrier. We tried her in it twice, both times she was calm and happy. After securing her in it,( which needs 2 poeple to be safe with a squirming baby) she quickly became agitated. There wasn't adaquite head support with her facing in, even with her being able to have head control herself. Also, the straps that come off the shoulders are very badly designed becaucse the baby's face can rub into them and they aren't padded. Also, the 2 clips on either side of the body piece are akward and not adjustable, so when your baby gets any sorf of a belly then they no longer can fit in either direction. And lastly, after the 3-5 minutes that my daughter was in this, when we took her out her legs had large indents from the material and the portion of her leg that was dangling was starting to get very red (i assume from circulation being restricted from the product). I have already brought this back to the store and haven't purchased a replacement. I recommend trying with your child in the stores display before concidering.
