5.0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm
This is a really awesome baby carrier. My baby goes to sleep so quickly in it that it amazes me :) I love it and he loves it too. Plus this is one of the only three way carrier I have found so far. Its also very easy to take a baby out of it by just undoing the front without disturbing the sleeping child (but u do need few trials to successfuly work with it). Overall,...

I wasn't able to really use this with my daughter until she was 10 weeks old because the leg openings are really far apart and even now I feel that they are still too far apart. When I take her out of it, she has red marks on her little thighs. While in it though, she's content. She really enjoys being close to me while I walk around while doing chores or just going from place A to B but I am really concerned about the width that her legs are spread while in it and the damage it may be causing to her legs and spine. In reading another review, I also agree that the carrier feels like it's going to fall off because it does not criss cross in the back. I have narrow shoulders and while I'm sure it's really secure, the feeling of it falling off or baby falling out is constantly present. Another review commented on the removable restraints on each side that slide up and down - that when baby gets a little weight around the middle, it is really difficult to open and close them and I agree - it makes it really burdensome to get baby in and out of the carrier. It works but it could be a lot better. This type of product is worth spending a little more money on because it affects baby's spine and legs. We may not have to buy the Baby Bjorn but I'm not sure if there's a comparable item in quality for less the cost. If anyone knows, let me in on the secret!

Even though the back strap is sometimes hard to work with, its a very important security feature.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nice product unless a baby is in it, go figure., July 15, 2005

I actually bought this without reading any reviews ( i was on vacation ). BIG MISTAKE! My baby girl is only 2 1/2 months and 11 lbs., but yet she just fit in the carrier. We tried her in it twice, both times she was calm and happy. After securing her in it,( which needs 2 poeple to be safe with a squirming baby) she quickly became agitated. There wasn't adaquite head support with her facing in, even with her being able to have head control herself. Also, the straps that come off the shoulders are very badly designed becaucse the baby's face can rub into them and they aren't padded. Also, the 2 clips on either side of the body piece are akward and not adjustable, so when your baby gets any sorf of a belly then they no longer can fit in either direction. And lastly, after the 3-5 minutes that my daughter was in this, when we took her out her legs had large indents from the material and the portion of her leg that was dangling was starting to get very red (i assume from circulation being restricted from the product). I have already brought this back to the store and haven't purchased a replacement. I recommend trying with your child in the stores display before concidering.

4.0 out of 5 stars great for the price, August 19, 2005

After looking at the price of Baby Bjorn, we decided to purchase this carrier. Our daughter loves it. When she was 3 months old facing in, she always fell asleep and now facing forward, she seems very comfortable. It adjusts well to fit both my husband and myself. The only complaint I have is that because the straps don't cross in the back, it feels like it might fall off of your shoulders-but it never does.

5.0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves it!, August 1, 2005

My husband is 6'5 and i am 5'2. We originally meant to purchase the Baby Bjorn Carrier in XL but they didn't have it. We tried on all of the other carriers displayed in Babies R Us with our daughter. She is 5 mos old. She loved this one the best. This one was adjustable for my husbands size. Once you figure out how to wear it, it is quite easy to use. i just slip it on and only unbuckle the waste belt when i need to take it off. My daughter loves it and for the money it was the perfect choice.

I'm a new mother of a beautiful baby girl and bought this carrier to make my short walks a lot easier BUT when I did my baby had no support one the head or her neck, she was constantly fussing and crying AND MOST IMPORTANT was so close to my chest facing me that she looked like she could barely breathe. I wouldn't recommend it. I should have read the reviews before going to the stores they really do help alot..

4.0 out of 5 stars Keeps newborns happy, watch out for big boobs, June 28, 2005

I have an 8 week old son who loves this carrier. I don't know what I would have done without it on those days when all he wanted to do all day long was cuddle. It takes a few minutes to figure out and adjust all the straps, but once done, it's a cinch.

Also, my husband is 6'5, and this carrier does fit him. It also fit my father, who is 6'6 and a very big man, we just had to not buckle the waist band.

The only downside is that now Grifin is holding his head up, he wants more of a view of the world, but when I put him acing out, he was very very un happy. It must be because I am a large breasted woman, and that causes his back to have to arch to accomadate my breasts. But, it works okay facing out for the guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - a must have for any parents, October 19, 2005
This review is from: Evenflo Snugli Citysport Carrier- Khaki (Baby Product)
We bought this product for our trip to New York with our 3 month old baby. It is absolutely brilliant. Our baby loved sitting facing forward and watching the business of the city, then when she tired, she faced inward and happily fell asleep. The shoulder padding and upper back strap take all the weight off you. Fully recommended - it is money well spent and will save you carrying a buggy up and down all those subway station stairs.

I really love this carrier! My son really enjoys being close to me or my husband, and this has become a life saver! I use it at home to do chores, when exercising, going food shopping.... It's also very comfy to wear. So, far its been one of the best purchases we've made!

3.0 out of 5 stars Quality good, size...not great, February 18, 2005
This review is from: Evenflo Snugli Citysport Carrier- Khaki (Baby Product)
the quality of this piece is nice, expecially for the $. i wouldn't bother with the more expensive ones. i had the $20 and it was just as nice, but i found the strap across the back botherson, so i exchanged. my 2 month old doesn't like looking at my chest, so i haven't really used it much, since he is too young to face out.

he is a big boy at 15lbs and barely fits in it! they say up to 26lbs. i can't believe it!! his head is WAY above the back, so there is no support. and i can barely get the closure shut with him being there. i must look like an octopus fighting itself.

i imagine for a newborn, like 7-9lbs who sleeps all the time, it would be great. i however think it still owes me money!
