Complicated,

I did not like this carrier. I wish I had kept the box so I could retrun it. The straps dont stay put and to put your infant in the device takes an act of God. Front carrier is ok but back carrier requires the child to be laying down and sitting still. Two impossible request.

GREAT all-around carrier,

my daughter is now 17 months old, and about 21.5 lbs, and we still use this carrier. we started her out in front, facing me for walks outside to calm her as a newborn, then in front facing out, and she loved it. whenever I have yardwork to get done while the two of us are home alone, I put her in it, and she loves it. it seems to be fairly durable. the only discomfort is that now that she's near the weight limit, the front of the shoulder straps seem to want to pull into my chest a little & the sternum strap seems to put some pressure on my collarbone area, but I think part of it it too is my rather small stature. I never had those problems until she got this big either, though! it gets really easy to get on & off - if you can wear a vest, you can wear this. my husband never wore it, so I can't say how well it fit him/switched between us, but I am very happy with it.

I bought this as a gift for my new little nephew. His parents use it constantly and really enjoy it. Even as a new born he could be carried around in it and now as he gets bigger he's filling it out. I recommend this to any busy parent who wants to use the computer, do some chores or anything else where they may need their hands, while still remaining close to their baby.

I bought this carrier (though in a different color) from an individual when my daughter outgrew her first infant carrier. It was the only carrier I could find that wasn't framed but still held a slightly larger child. My daughter was almost a year when I got it. We have a framed carrier as well, which is great for hiking, etc. But I like that I can put her in this one and run in the store without looking like I got lost mid-mountain trek. My daughter loves it and is very comfortable. It's a great deal, too, when you look at the prices of some of these things. You can usually find good carriers used as well, so check out resale shops. I haven't had a problem at all with the buckles but, of course, I always check them before I trust them to carry my little girl.

MY DAUGHTER FELL FROM THIS CARRIER,
By Christina "Her Daddies a Marine..." (Everywhere, World) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Evenflo Snugli Front and Back Carrier- Hunter Green (Baby Product)
I recently purchased a Bjorn and I am thoroughly pleased and no longer concerned about the safety of my daughter in a carrier. The Bjorns do cost more, but provide completely safe latches, with back up latches. I suggest investing the money, or going to a gently used store (or craigslist) to purchase one over a new one of these.
---- I received this off my baby shower registry. Luckily, we we're over some really cushy carpet. The right latch (when facing forward) did NOT latch tight compared to the left one. My daughter fell out the right leg side, and hit the floor. If you own this, CHECK the strength of the left latch to the right. PLEASE just spend the extra dollar to get a carrier that has an actual locking mechanism. This thing kind of just slide latches into place and offers no real security. Please, please, please - invest in another one and if you own it check the integrity. I really can't stress this. Just check the strength, please? I don't want to read any other reviews besides mine of a baby falling from this carrier. You'll be able to tell if its faulty by just comparing how easily the left side comes undone to the right one. If they're both loose.. Than geez I don't know. Good luck. |
