It has soft cushions and is very comfortable.

I thought I could get them even again before I installed the seat, by pulling and releasing while having access to the back where the excess of the belt is located.

Parents have enough on their minds, and doubting the safety of a car seat shouldn't be another worry.

I bought this car seat for my 14mo daughter, and she loves it! It has soft cushions and is very comfortable. She frequently falls asleep in it and looks comfortable and happy. We recently took a road trip where we were in the car for 4 days driving an average of about 7 hours a day, and she only got fussy toward the very end.

It was easy to figure out how to install, and I love how the straps can easily adjust from the front while she is sitting in it. The chest clip is a little tricky to unfasten at first but after about a week I got used to it.

The only con I can really give is that it reclines really far in the rear-facing position. That makes it really comfortable for my daughter, but in my small car (Toyota Corolla) the passenger seat has to be pushed pretty far forward. I am pretty short (5'2'') so it doesn't bother me too much, but for a taller person it would be pretty uncomfortable to sit there. It would probably work better in the center seat but I already have an infant carrier in that position for my 2nd child who will be arriving soon.

Bottom line, this is an excellent car seat and I don't see any reason to pay more for a "fancier" one.

Like many other Moms out there, I spent countless hours researching what convertible carseat will be best for my daughter. I am very pleased with this product. My daughter is very comfortable at almost 11 months and we plan on using this for a very long time. We weren't sure it was going to fit in our tiny 96 Hyundai, but rear facing, it fits just fine! We are in South Korea (due to military) for another 9 months and once we get back to the states, I know this carseat will work great in my Jeep Liberty. We didn't want to spend a ton of money for a carseat that wasn't going to fit, but it's definitely worth the money.
My only complaint is that is doesn't fold or break down for easy traveling. We are flying home for a month and I am kind of dreading having to lug the seat all over the airport.

We purchased this seat for my son when he was about 7 months old and he outgrew his infant carrier. We've been using it for a little over 2 years now and its still a great seat. The neutral color would work for a girl or boy and looks with most car interiors. The cover is easy to clean and I like that the cup holder and storage compartment remove, it makes it easier to clean sticky messes and if you have a passenger sitting next to your little one removing them gives everyone more room. The buckle is just the right balance of not too hard for mom and dad to work but too hard for my son to unhook on his own. My son is nowhere near the 50lb weight limit but he has gotten too tall for the straps to fit properly otherwise we'd still be using the seat for a couple more years. I think its a good seat for the money and a nice transition from an infant carrier to a toddler seat.

We bought this as a travel car seat since it is good quality and much lighter than the ones we use in our van/truck. We previously owned the Evenflo Titan for almost a year before the airline crushed it (ran over it). The straps are easy to raise, when the seat is "not" installed. When installed, you can easily loosen or tighten with the cord at the bottom while baby/toddler is in the seat. The seat is easy to install/latch in most rental vehicles. This upgraded version (Elite) has a little nicer fabric/design and a recline feature that we will use in the future. Instructions included with the seat are very easy to understand.
If you use this as a travel car seat, it will pay for itself in 1-2 trips as the car rental agencies charge $75 on up to rent a car seat for a week...and it is your own "clean" and well adjusted seat that your child would be used to.

So far I have only used this car seat rear facing but it has worked perfectly. Quality is great, and it looks great too. My baby seems comfortable and sleeps well in it (which is a must!!) It was actually quite simple to install (ok, I made my husband do it, but he had no problems). I love that the seat goes up to 50 lbs. forward facing! It seems most other brands only go to 40, so that's a plus. All in all, we are very satisfied with the purchase, it was very worth the price!

My wife and I bought two of these seats for our one year old daughter who had outgrown her infant seat. We wanted something that could be installed rear facing or forward facing. So far, the seat has been working great. It fits well into both my car (compact) and my wife's car (mid-size) in the rear facing position. My daughter also is very comfortable in it and generally sleeps in it whenever we are driving.

My wife and I also wish we had purchased two of these seats to start rather than the infant seat we had initially. This car seat can fit small infants all the way through toddlers. It has four different positions for the shoulder straps and comes with some extra (removable) padding for infants.

Lastly, others have mentioned difficulties getting the belts tight. I have not had this problem in a month or so of using the seat. It is possible for one side to get a bit tighter than the other, especially if one side is looser when you initially pull the tightening strap. However, I found that simly pulling on one side or the other of the leg straps to even out the slack quickly evens out the difference.
