3.0 out of 5 stars Would check out straps in person before buying!
The straps on this car seat are oddly arranged. The across the lap straps are spaced in such a way that the straps come up over the top of the thigh rather than across the waist. The strap opening is very low on the over the shoulder straps... when you have the car seat in the rear facing position, you are only supposed to be using the very lowest opening. The over the...

I love this Carseat! This is a great seat, it is cushy so my 7 month old is comfortable it also has removeable seat and head pads that make it even more comfortable. It does recline in the rear facing position, it has a little bar/foot thing that you have to flip forward and then you flip it back when you change to forward facing. It was easy to adjust the straps to the right height my husband did it in under 5 mins. Also tightening them was a snap you just pulled the strap in front until you had it right and if you got it a little too snug prees the silver tab in front and pull the chest piece until you have it right all can be done quickly without moving baby around too much. My son loves this seat he can comfortably fall asleep in it and it sits just right for him to be able to look out the window. One warning if you have a small car this may be too big in the rear facing position I have a Ford Escape and it just fits behind the front seat.

4.0 out of 5 stars great for grandma's car, April 13, 2010
This review is from: Evenflo Titan Elite Convertible Car Seat, Venice (Baby Product)
This is a great car seat for me to keep at home when the grandchildren come over. It can safely handle the little ones who need to face backwards as well as the toddlers. It has the side impact protection that is very important and can be taken in and out of our cars without worrying about needing a base. For what I need it for it is a perfect versatile car seat.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great seat and great price!, September 13, 2010

I read several reviews on different car seats, and I couldn't find any that everyone absolutely loved. However, on Amazon I saw the Evenflo Titan Elite and noticed that it had several details about it that I liked and the price was great. First of all, I like that it can go up to 50 lbs, and it can sit rear-facing up to 35 (which is the safer way to sit). It looked really attractive, and matches my car's interior very well. Many car seats do not say they are side-impact tested, but this one is. It looked like it had lots of extra padding to make my little girl very comfortable. I also liked that it has a drink holder and storage container.

Not sure why some people don't like it. We received it recently, and I just went to the police department to have them install it. I think installation would be very difficult doing it myself and just reading the manual, but that's not a big deal when most police/fire departments will do it for you and they're trained to do it right. I have a Saturn Ion, which is not a big vehicle, and it seems to fit just fine. Some people complained about the harness and how it snaps, but it wasn't that difficult to figure out and it works just fine.

The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is that first of all, we just got it, and second of all, I don't think I could have installed it as easily as the police officer.

Buying it from Amazon is the best! In the stores, the price was at least $20 more, not including tax. With Amazon there is no tax or shipping. It came quickly also--before the earliest estimated date. Love Amazon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice carseat., July 26, 2010

I am very pleased with the carseat. It arrived just in time for my son's first road trip to pop and gigi's house. We stopped by the fire department on the way out of town. They re-installed it(it turns out my son was ready to be front facing and we had no idea and had installed it rear facing). It matches the interior of our car well. The funniest thing was the look on his face when he could watch us and see where we are going! I think it is a wonderful car seat for the price. It has several of the padding features and bells and whistles of the pricier carseats for a fraction of the price. I am a cost conscious shopper but I did not want to sacrifice safety for money. My husband and I are able to get him in and out without difficulty and my son is able to sleep in it without problems!

4.0 out of 5 stars Large but Good, August 20, 2010

I've had this car seat for about a month now. I drive a 325xi and the seat is behind the driver. The installation is rear facing, and I had to put a towel under the base to set a better angle due to the pitch of the backseat. Because of the towel and the way I had to angle the seat I'm not able to recline my driver's seat to my exact desires. Well, so be it. The seat fits my baby perfectly, was very easy to install and is going to last for a long time. The straps are sturdy and you can tell that the construction is solid. I bought another one for my mother-in-law's CRV and one for my Mom's Acura TL and they have no problems with the size of the seat. When my baby can go forward I won't even know she's there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Carseat!, February 2, 2011

This review is from: Evenflo Titan Elite Convertible Car Seat, Venice (Baby Product)
My son has had this car seat for one month (he's now 7 months old). We bought it because he outgrew his infant seat unexpectedly quickly and we were looking for something in a decent price range. To be honest, I was nervous about buying something cheaper because all anyone talks about is Britax and the other more expensive brands, but we're not wealthy people and did not have enough saved up since we had expected to use the infant seat for a couple more months.

Anyway, we couldn't be happier. My son loves sitting in it because of the extra padding. He is able to see out the sides and fits comfortably in the seat. The harness/clip is a little tricky, but I haven't seen many car seats with a non-tricky safety system. I like that it's side-impact tested and seems to have good safety ratings overall. It fits in our Toyota Corolla (2009) in the middle seat rear-facing with no issues. My husband is 6'1" and still fits comfortably behind the wheel. I like that it has a cup holder and snack tray for when the baby is older and I like the weight limits. I have heard that they tend to outgrow the seat in height before they hit the weight limit, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

A couple downsides (why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars): My son's head does fall forward when he falls asleep in the car despite the seat being at the right angle. I'm a first-time mom, so not sure if that's common in other seats or not. Also, it took us forever to install rear-facing. I don't think it was necessarily all the seat's fault, but it was difficult nonetheless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good car seat, December 1, 2010
This review is from: Evenflo Titan Elite Convertible Car Seat, Venice (Baby Product)
I'm happy with our Evenflo Titan Elite car seat. I shopped for a long time & read a million reviews before deciding on the Evenflo. I have a small vehicle Subaru Impreza and was concerned that any convertible car seat would be to big but this car seat fits in the middle seat in the back perfectly. My 10 month old fits very well in it except the bottom straps do seem to go across his legs alittle awkwardly, but the starps are easy to adjust, and the padding is nice. For the price I would recommend this car seat its affordable, easy to install, easy to clean, side impact tested and comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this car seat!!, September 25, 2010

We recently bought this seat for our 18 month old and we are so happy we did!!!! We took a mini 5 hour trip and he had enough space to move his legs around and fit his sippy next to him and he looks pretty comfy when he falls asleep in it. The only thing I would change is the hole you put the seatbelt through for the front facing position is a little small for my hands. This car seat is definitely worth every penny plus along with being comfy it's stylish and easy to clean

I just received this car seat a few days ago, and my son and I both love it! He no longer cries when being put in the car. I think it's mainly because he's no longer rear facing, but the seat looks so comfortable, and he loves seeing out the front window now! Definitely a good deal.

This seat is great. We bought it for grandma. She loves sitting higher and being able to see out of the window unlike her infant seat. Reviewed highly by crash standards. Great seat for the money!
