We are on our second Evenflo Triumph. The first was replaced after an off-center head-on high speed crash and roll over. The car came to rest on its side and the seat stayed in place perfectly. My son's only injury was a bite on his tongue. I found it easy to install correctly in the Infinity i30 (equiv to a Toyota Corolla) and also in my Honda Accord. I enjoy the knob that adjusts straps which allows you to accomodate heavier clothing easily. I've also taken the cover off and washed it several times and the fabric held up well with no shrinkage. The 4 stars rather than five is as one reviewer said, the crotch strap seems too short, but I'm sure it's to keep the buckle in the bony pelvic region rather than the soft and vulnerable abdominal. It's hard to fault Evenflo for that but it's caused a pinched leg or two. I'd purchase a third if I needed too.

Overall I like this carseat. Just to note: my baby just turned 1 year old, weighs 21 lbs and is 30" tall. One small gripe I have is when tightening the straps, the bottom buckle kind of turns in and digs into my little ones stomache...not bad though. I just make sure as I'm tightening it I fix it. I have a large truck and this thing is still pretty big...but thats ok to me. I definitely couldn't fit 3 of these in my back seat. My daughter has fallen asleep in it once and she looked pretty comfy, her head didn't fall forward, it just rested on the sides.
Another small gripe I have is that there is no way to keep the straps to the side so when you put the kid in you don't have to dig for them. On my infant carseat I was able to tuck the buckles in the side...which is nice.
Very easy to install. I have a 2009 Chevy truck and so you can only use the latch system on the sides...not the center so I chose to use the seat belt in the middle. I was able to get it surprisingly tight. I had a certified car seat person check after I installed and it was perfect.
Material is nice. I haven't tried to take it off and clean it though. Straps move up and down easily...just pull on them. Its pretty comfy...yes, I sat in it. My daughter seems to like it. Overall...we're happy! I think its a good alternative to the expensive carseats...cheaper but still safe and nice and I seen a bunch of things saying its rated right up there with Britax by Consumer Reports. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my childs safety...especially in vehicles, I've already lost my husband and a niece in car accidents...so I'm HUGE on safety. I did a lot of research...and this is what I came up with.

We have been very happy with this Evenflo seat. It was on of the top rated seats from Consumer Reports, couldn't be more pleased.
We have an older car and newer so we had to install this with the lapbelt and the seat clips - the install was easy! even getting our child in/out is simple.
We highly recommend it!

My two children (age 4 and 22 mos.) were in a freeway rollover accident 4 days ago when another driver swerved into my lane. We fish-tailed four times and rolled one and a half times in our Honda Pilot which is obviously now totaled. It is only because of a miracle that we all walked away without a scratch. Thank God for his angels--my precious 22 month old was in this seat and the strap that goes through the back of the carseat to connect to the LATCH anchors on either side was torn in half, as if someone cut the strap with scissors. The amazing thing is that we didn't even realize the strap was torn in two until it was pulled out of the car. He was hanging perfectly upside down, even though he was only attached to the car by one side of the LATCH system and the tether strap that goes over the back of the seat.
I will say that Evenflo has been VERY cool in their customer service when we reported the problem to them immediately and they have requested that we send them the seat so that they can investigate. Maybe it was just a one-time incident and anyone else with these seats will be fine if they are in an accident like ours, but I will say I just ordered up two new Britax seats for our precious munchkins. I am all about being frugal, but when it comes to securing children safely in vehicles, spend whatever it takes. Also, to Evenflo's defense, this seat was as highly rated as Britax when I purchased it. Also, keep in mind that our son is currently snoozing away in his bed right now, so with some supernatural help, the seat did in fact protect him.

I did a lot of research and chose this one specifically for the ease of latching and unlatching. My grandaughter's car seat that her parents have is so difficult, maybe it's because my nails are long(ish), or I don't have the strength I used to (I'm not that old!), but whatever the reason, when I decided to get a carseat for my car, I chose this one and have loved it. Even my daughter has commented that next time they get a car seat, they want one like this. Granddaughter seems happy in it, too.
Thumbs up from all three generations.

We bought this and hoped it would be used for a few years. But, I noticed the chair was squeaking when my son moved his head. Somehow, the styrofoam came apart from the frame (the 2 buttons on the back didn't work to hold the styrofoam on). Neither my husband nor I can recall doing anything to the carseat to make this happen.

It gets 2 stars because the roller adjustment to the straps was great---when it wasn't stuck.
