I saw the live performance in LA last July and this is a wonderful DVD and CD to keep to remember this outstanding musical event. The men sound better in person than they do on recordings which only happens with truly gifted singers and they have just gotten better over the past five years they have been together. The camera work was quite good considering the size (huge) of the arena and the size of the crowd (also huge). Luckily, the aim was usually the singers not the video presentation behind them. Lots of their hit songs and a couple of new ones (for them). They are more elegant than ever showing up in great threads and tails in the final songs. Such a treat to see real men in great suits, shirts with French cuffs, hairstyles and clean shaven - they are just too charming! This is a great price meant for giving to your friends and fans of Il divo. A CD and DVD of excellent recording quality for such a great price! I definitely recommend this for anyone that loves romantic music sung by men with real vocal talent and technique!! This concert offers more songs than any of their other DVDs. Their Christmas album is also terrific. This is a must have for any romantic music fan! If an Il Divo fan, you must add to your collection as this has all their best hits from previous albums plus "A Bridge Over Troubled Waters". Great fun!!

this dvd is probably the best il divo product i have. after seeing this show live in may, i can genuinely say that what these people have is talent! their detractors are probably jealous of what they have achieved and quality wise-you can't please everyone. this performance is amazing also because of the venue. not a lot of artists can fill a venue like that these days. and definitely not someone who sings using operatic techniques. love them or hate them, gotta give props to these guys. individually they bring something unique to the band: Carlos Marin has the booming voice that leads the end choruses; the powerhouse of the group; he is pretty straightforward in his singing. David Miller hits the high notes incredibly; it is clear that it is not his comfort zone necessarily, but he is absolutely incredible in terms of effort. i can't think of a lot of singers who can put as much effort in a performance as Miller (he is absolutely drained by the end of the show). Urs Buhler is the interesting asset of the group, extremely underrated in my opinion: he is not as strong as the other 2 (thats why he is very underrated), but looking at his background, his operatic focus was also completely different; if Marin and Miller are bringing the drama, Buhler brings the lyrical, smooth aspect; he is also probably the most flexible member of the group; he can sing in a pop-manner (regresa a mi, winner takes it all) and he also brings his opera techniques (la promessa, adagio); his range is fantastic, thats why he is probably the best harmonizer of the group (low register in "she" and then high register in "la promessa"); he is a great singer for those who open up their ears. Sebastien Izambard is one heck of a singer live! some people don't take him into consideration as much as they should; he was the one that blew me away when i saw them live, because i could not get my head around of the strength he showed as a vocalist; it is not an easy task to sing with opera singers; he is holding his own and is simply fabulous!
Yes...they are good looking...but i dont think they are as good looking as people hype them to be...they just have a lot of charisma and strength as performers. as an opera fan, i don't think that a lot of opera singers can bring as much to the table in terms of performance without being dressed in a character.
These guys are an interesting bunch and people should really take them seriously despite all the image management they've had. I go to concerts to hear music and voices...and they sure bring it!

This is the third Il Divo album I have purchsed - they only get better - play it over and over again - thoroughly enjoyed the album - this is a must buy album - really enjoy the powerful voices of two of the performers although the other two are equally talented but have a lower range in their voices which makes them a unique group - will buy their albums again in the future.

I purchased two sets (DVD and CD) of Il Divo as Christmas gifts and both sets were accepted and played with rave reviews. These four men are magic together and although I have never seen them in person, I can only imagine how wonderful it is to actually be there LIVE! So glad I decided to get the sets from Amazon and at a great price (as usual)!

The IL DIVO cd/dvd was magnificent!!! They brought back memories of the concert we attended last July in Cleveland, Ohio! The concert was one of the greatest shows I have ever seen - and I have been to a lot of concerts. These gentlemen have magnificent voices, great style, and are beautiful to the eye!!!They also were kind enough to shake hands and sign autographs near the end of their performance. I watch the dvd nearly every day!!!! We are looking forward to their next tour! GREAT JOB GENTLEMAN!!!!

Having been so fortunate as to attend a concert in Cleveland, Ohio, this brings back the magic of these four magnificent voices whose harmony and stage presence cannot be equaled. I have bought four copies already, and find it hard to give any away as gifts. I want them all for myself. I have at least one copy of everything they have ever made, and wait with anticipation the next CD or DVD.

The sound is faultless, and so are they. Would love to see the same treatment done with the Christmas concert, which I could not attend.

My wife and I love Il Divo, but this is just a new recording of songs that they have done on past recordings. Some of the versions are not as good as the previous recordings. Please Il Divo tell your loyal fans when you turn out a mediocre rehash.

Wonderful listening experience and the DVD is a great plus. The best rendition of Amazing Grace I've heard.

My wife and I just received this DVD/CD two days ago and cannot stop listening to it. I must start off and say these four singers Of Il Divo are amoung the best singers of all time and the best singers out there now without question. My Wife and I saw them for the first time this summer Live and this new DVD captures the feeling of what it is like to see them Live.

As another reveiwer stated they are even better sounding singers Live then there sound captured in a studio and they are exactly right in that statement it is because they are all great singers.
They put so much more feeling in each song Live. They have really grown as a group, singing together to which words cannot do them justice.

If anyone is looking for a great CD/DVD go and purchase this An Evening with Il Divo Live in Barcelona and enjoy a great evening of singing ,passion, and great songs.

I saw this concert seven times, and this DVD is as good as seeing Il Divo live.
I purchased 5 copies for gifts, and one for myself. As I was listening the the CD on my stero in the house I got back to Amazon and ordered a second copy for myself, because I want that CD in my car and in my house at all times.....

Watching this DVD is as entertaining as anything I have ever seen on my tv screen.
Sure glad I have that second copy, because I am sure I will wear out the first one.
