The shawl emphasizes the fascination of youth and accentuates the nobility of maturity. All shawls are knitted by the skilled artisans that supplement it with unique lacy ornaments and patterns, using a very thin wool thread with a polyamide thread center for strength and durability. The wool is obtained from the goats, of Ural Mountains, Kuraminsky and Tan-Shan Ranges. After the yarn is produced the artisans knit these shawls using manual knitting machines that allow them to create amazingly intricate patterns. Every single one of the shawls is unique. Durable yet delicate, they are warm, but at the same time light and airy. Each shawl can be pulled with ease through a wedding band. The history of this craft dates back to before the eighteenth century, when Russian merchants came to the Ural Mountains to trade with locals. Perfect climate conditions in the mountain region make the breeding of this exclusive breed of goats possible. Waterfall shawls take their name from the majestic waterfalls of the Ural Mountains. The color blends from dark silver at the edges to shiny white in the middle. It is quite an embellishment for an evening dress.

This is a very unique product, unlike any other shawl you will see on Amazon or in the stores. It has a web-like intricate pattern which is clearly handmade, and looks even more impressive through multiple folds. I gave it to my wife for our wedding anniversary and she was thrilled. The only problem is that it looks more like a piece of art (which it is by the way), so she only puts it on for special occasions. Honestly, for this modest price I expected much more generic quality, what I got feels like it is from an elite boutique or even a museum.

I bought this product in boutique in Berkeley a year ago. It had a little different design, but the same intricate knitting pattern. Much cheaper here on Amazon, I'll probably buy one as a gift here. Not only does it looks very elegant with an appropriately chosen dress, but it keeps you warm on those cold evenings.
