Part hip-hop, part jazz, the duo draw from the music that influenced them while growing up to create a soulful vibe infused with bebop, funk, and everything in between.

Not what I was expecting but still a dope album,

I picked this up at the local record store after I saw that it had Asheru on one of the tracks I popped it in my CD player in the car and as I was skimming through the tracks I noticed that over half of the album was instrumentals and only a small fraction of the beats had actual rapping. At first I was dissapointed but the instrumentals are done so well on this disc that they quickly grew on me and this CD has now reached a classic status with me like few other albums do. The music is a mixture of Pete Rock era Funk and jazz and soulful moody sound scapes that are perfect for listening to on a rainy day. The MCs are all on point and all have some very intereting and dope lines for you to listen to repeatedly I was so happy After hearing this album it is the perfect mixture of Hiphop and jazz styles it makes the perfect soundtrack for relaxing around the house or cruising in your ride. SP Have not put anything out for a minute, I hope that we see something from them in the near future Because we definitely need more talented hard working crews like this rocking the tables and the mic. P.S. If you are a fan of the sound providers be sure to check out the new Procussions album "As Iron Sharpens Iron"

Sweet Music and Goood Rhymes,

This album is why I continue listening to hip-hop. My top record of the year. The samples are tight, and the music harkens back to hip-hop's greatest period in my book.I am all about jazz riffs and beats. Gangstarr, Tribe called Quest, De La Soul..all the good stuff. This album is tight, nothing that I wince while listening to, great all around. I am going to chase down some of the guest artists on this one, they were uniformly at least good and some were great. MAKE MORE MUSIC LIKE THIS!!!
