I wanted to try out Ever After High, being a huge fan of Monster High, so I ordered this free mini-story. This is NOT a full-length book, so do not buy it under that premise. It was only about 15 pages long, but still hexellent. I love the character of Maddie-she is spunky and just fantastic, and really reminds me of the Mad Hatter. These stories seem to lead up to the Storybook of Legends, but I haven't read any of the others yet, or watched any of the webisodes. I'm still testing Ever After High, and probably won't get any of the dolls (I'm a true MH fan) but I'll read more of the books. I would recommend it to anyone, whether they're new to EAH or long-time fans. Read on for the summary of the story.
Non-spoiler summary:
Maddie is working at her father's (the Mad Hatter) tea shop in Book End the day before school starts at Ever After High. Clara Lear, daughter of King Lear, comes in and orders "regular" tea. Maddie gives her another kind of tea instead (read to find out what it is), and when another girl comes over, Maddie suggests that they sit together. Will Clara Lear make friends with this girl? Or will she be destined to be mean and grouchy forever after?
Spoilers ahead! Read with caution!
In this story, Maddie is working at her father's (the Mad Hatter) tea shop on the day before school starts at Ever After High. She encounters Clara Lear, the daughter of King Lear, who orders just "regular" tea. Instead, Maddie serves her charm blossom tea, and another girl comes over and Maddie invites them to sit together, and Clara turns out to be nice after all.

When I got this I thought it was a whole book but when I read it it's not even 20 pages but it's still good even though it's so small
