In pursuit of his muse, Brad packed up his life in New York and made the leap heading out to Los Angeles, in hopes of re-connecting with his college buddies and finding a producer that could mold his vision. Brad met Evan Frankfort, producer/guitarist for The Wallflowers and Jayhawks, and The Ever Changing Picture would finally be fully realized. Working with Evan, he crafted a sound that accurately reflected his songwriter influences; Lemonheads "Great Big No", "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" era The Cure, Pearl Jam "Black" and Coldplay "Yellow", to name a few. At the heart of the album are songs of uncertainty and longing, of choices and consequences and the fervent hope that eventually it all works out.
He charted three songs on ArtistDirect.com including reaching the #1 most downloaded track spot with "Never Came Back", a feat almost unheard of for an independent artist. Music from The Ever Changing Picture has appeared in television shows, theatrical movies and much more.

Can't Believe He's Not Huge Yet!,

I have been an LA music lover and follower of Brad Byrd for the past couple years...I have seen him play incredible shows from packing the Roxy to a laid back Farmers Market show. This guy has a stage presence and voice that is second to none. His record has literaly been in my cd player for two years...and finds its way in and out of my friends collections, as well as a party fav. I have been scratching my head wondering why no one has signed him or how his music has not been discovered....well hopefully now it has....Congrats Brad...see you at the next show!!!

timeless classic,
This review is from: Ever Changing Picture (Audio CD)
Already B Byrd is a classic artist. I can play his tunes over and over and never tire of them. His beat, lyrics, and voice all come together for me in one of the best albums of the year. Brad has a huge career ahead of him and I am just glad to have caught this train at Stop # 1.

Up & coming Star,
By Bowser (New York, NY) - See all my reviews

Brad Byrd is on his way to becoming the next big thing in singer/songwriter driven Alt Rock. The album doesn't quit from the beginning of the first track all the way through. Tunes like Factory Burn and Never Came Back rock, while songs like Earth and Feathers show the depth of Byrd's ability. Overall a can't miss album!
