Love it. I like it more than my high end $200 camping pack. I went on a hike today with about 20lbs of stuff in it just to test it out. VERY comfortable. Padded back, shoulder straps and waist strap is padded too. Made of nice strong material. The green looks crisp and cool. Stitching is nice. Big deep side pockets.

You should know that this pack has only 4 pockets all together including the main compartment. It has two side pockets which you can see in the picture. and the "top" part of the bag has 1 slim pocket where you can put papers, maps, thing objects.

The main compartment is BIG. Lots of room. easy to get into. There are no pockets or straps inside the main compartment. Which is fine by me. Too many pockets actually take away of the ability to put big stuff in. You fill in all the smaller pockets and you are left with limited space. Plus too many pockets and you lose everything.

It has good placement of compression straps to keep the pack nice and neat, and as well as making it look "neat" when the pack is not being used completely.

It's an Excellent, nice looking. Strong, sturdy, practical backpack. You CAN'T beat the price!

Keep in mind I paid 31.95 for the bag and 4.99 for shipping.

    Enjoy!

    *7 month review*

For the past 210 days, this bag has held up to repeated abuse in the form of rainstorms, heavy loads, and rough handling. I am still amazed at the durability of this pack relative to its price point. I highly recommend it to both the casual weekender and the dedicated backpacker.

    *60 day review*

In the two months that I have owned this pack, I have used it DAILY to haul anything I can put in it. I was even able to fit a Wal-Mart twin sized air mattress (yes, in the box) into it. As I noted in my 30-day review, the bag's adjustable straps are beginning to fray after such use. In addition, the stitching that connects some of the straps to the pack is beginning to show signs of wear from heavy, frequent loads.

If you're only planning on using this pack for the occasional weekend jaunt into the local state park, you needn't worry about the kind of issues I'm experiencing. As I've mentioned previously, I am a bike commuter, so I necessarily rely very heavily on this bag and regularly stuff it to full capacity (which, I'll add, I'm still quite impressed with). It IS water resistant, as evidenced by my frequent trips to work and back in heavy rain. I still highly recommend this bag.

Email me at jakefranklin1989@gmail.com if you want pictures to get a better look at the condition of the pack.

I've had this pack for nearly a month now and I'm still fairly satisfied with it. I'm a bike commuter and I wear this bag daily and use it to haul groceries and clothing, so I've certainly tested its weight limits and carrying capacity. One minor issue I've noticed is that the adjustable straps used to hitch the pack higher or lower are beginning to fray.

I was very unsure about buying a hiking bag for under $50. This bag is Great! Im 6'4" and fits me very well. I have not had any problems with it and I carry a lot of weight in it. The inside is lined so rain will not bother what is inside but you cant submerge it. I would buy it again over any hiking bag i have had.

So i bought this to use as a carry-on bag for a week long trip. It is a lot of bag for little money. Fully loaded, it will exceed the size and weight limits of a carry-on, so be careful. I didn't load it completely full with clothes only, and i was stopped at one airport where they weighed it. Came in at 10.1 kg, and the limit was 10kg, and they let it pass. This was with 3-4 inches at the top of the bag empty, and the top pocket empty. So be aware you might have problems if fully loaded.

I was worried that the bag straps might be an issue, but after a week of traveling, and 6 flights, the straps are still holding up fine. This bag has no internal structure of any kind, nor any padding, so depending on how you pack it, it may feel uncomfortable against your back. This is a top loading bag, so you have to pull everything out to get at stuff near the bottom, like most hiking backpacks. There are no straps on the bottom of the pack, so no way to attach another pack or stuff sack. Not really a big deal, as this definitely is not a suitable pack for hiking.

Now for my issues with this pack. The waist strap is too high, so it is effectively useless. I am 5'-9", and the waist strap came right over my belly button. I could not since it down and take the weight on my hips at all. Another problem is that the chest restraint strap is attached too high to the shoulder straps, so that when attached it came up and rubbed on my neck. So between these two issues it became uncomfortable fairly quickly.

So bottom line, if you need a cheap and fairly large pack for going somewhere, this pack is ok if you aren't going to wear it for long periods of time. If you need something for hiking, look elsewhere.
