We fell in love with this game over Christmas at our family reunion. It requires making combinations of symbols/colors/# quantities. Because of this, it is a moderate paced strategy game that is easy to learn and playable by many ages in the family (I'm guessing age 8 and up). It was a good alternative when we were tired of the deep strategy of card games and didn't have the energy for more upbeat interactive games like Balderdash. The pace and feel of the game reminded me of Mexican Train dominos. A great addition to the family game cabinet. Enjoyed it and will be buying it for myself now!

Set Cubed is a slow paced, family, thinking game. We played it continually over the Holidays. It is compact enough that it travels well. I would suggest this game to anyone! I do wish it came with more dice, but overall it is great!

About six years ago, a third grade teacher recommended the card game of Set. My family loved it, and I could tell that it was mathematically educational. I'm so glad that they now have made a board game with a similar problem-solving foundation. This is fun for the whole family--especially since it eliminates the 'may the quickest person win' philosophy by letting each player take turns. [The Set card game is more of a see-it, slap-it version whereas the board game is a traditional one-turn-per-player]. Great game and very educational (but don't tell the kids that!). I highly recommend it.
