It's a good heavy bag, and it feels very durable. However there is one section that is packed hard, like sand. I've been pounding it with a small weight, but it's not going anywhere. I assume Sports Authority stored it laying on its side, and the sand seeped to the lowest point. I'm hoping the sand will seep back to the bottom, and I'm doing my level best to send it on its way. However, the uneven density of the bag has caused me several small injuries.

UPDATE: The hard points never softened up. I marked them with tape and I avoid the hard spots.

Don't waste your money on this! This bag gets pillow soft from the center up and rock hard from the center down after using it for less than a month. I'm throwing mine away and buying a UFC heavy bag based on reviews on their website.

I have owned the UFC heavy bag for a long while now and would highly recommend it over this one. It was well worth the extra cash.

i do tae kwon do and bought this as a practice bag. this bag is excellent and the attachments make installation to the ceiling a breeze. took about 5 minutes to set up with a power drill and it was ready to go. it also comes with a tie down to the floor to minimize movement.

I used this bag at least 3-5 times a week and it takes a lot of punishment. for 6 months there has been no damage or movement in the stuffing of the bag or the surface. its a great buy and i would recommend this to anyone.

I bought this as an xmas present for my husband. with stress i thought it would be fun to take it out on the bag. I had it shipped to a friend's house (for the surprise xmas present) when i saw the box it was shipped in i was worried, it was beat up badly, there were big holes and gaps at the top and bottom of the box - however the bag itself was not damaged in shipping which is unreal if you saw the box! it is heavy (duh) over 100lbs, so it is tough to move around alone. i got the recomended heavy bag hanger and it was very simple to install. The bag is great, so much fun to punch, i'm getting my own gloves! make sure you hang it away fom other things, as it tends to swing a little and does need to be attached to a very secure wood beam. i love the design of this bag more than the others i looked at, as the webbing instead of the metal chains is truly more quiet and makes for a better product in my opinion, without all the rubbing of the metal on the bag. the bag does have spots that are harder than other spots, down lower is much harder to hit than up high. Looking forward to learning more about technique and cardio boxing workouts.

Great heavy bag. The box is a lot heavier than 100 lbs. though, so be prepared. The sales guy passed if off to me, and I completely embarassed myself trying to pick it up in the box. But heavier is good, so go for it. I recommend the bag highly, but make sure you get some gloves if you are not used to punching a bag like this; the vinyl looks like it will be easier on your knuckles than canvas, but it isn't. You'll tear your skin off or give yourself some nasty friction burns if you aren't careful.

This bag is a life saver. The price and quality is outstanding. i priced these everywhere, even used ones people were selling on Craigslist, and I could not find a deal even close to this. Since receiving this bag, I have toned up and lost alot of weight. i might add that it is great for releasing aggresion and anger. Beats being tense and having high blood pressure. I can't say enough about this product. Improved my health, my energy, and my attitude. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!

After reading all of the reviews on here and seeing most people didnt like it, i bought it anyways since im not going to be doing MMA and am using it just to strengthen my punches and for endurance etc.. Anyways the box it came in was fine. It wasnt all ripped up like others have said. Also my sand inside was fine as well it didnt all slump to the bottom like another person said.. for the price and no shipping cost its well worth it in my opinion so far.. And if it tends to get a little to hard on the bottom ill just flip it and let it sink and maybe punch it like that a few times. I havent set up yet but just giving my first responses etc.

This is the 16 year old son writing this. I just got it up a few months ago, and even with me trying to destroy it every day, it still looks that same as day one. Great product, good weight, but the packing seems to shift to the bottom after a while, so I have to turn it upside down and punch it like that a few times. Overall still a great product, and I recommend it to everyone I know, though I suggest you get the proper weight for your size.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. The shipping took a LONG time. I ordered two day shipping, and it took over two weeks to arrive. The bag arrived in good condition, and was exactly as described on the Amazon page. We are used to freestanding bags, so getting used to a hanging bag took a little practice. We have it hung from a hoist in the garage, and it has stayed there without trouble for the last 3 months. We have had no issues with the hanging mechanism, and did not need to do anything "special" to get it to hang correctly. This is a great bag, at a great price.

I paid $50 with free shipping for the bag.
(I wish everyone would make a point to say how much they paid on all their purchases since this makes a world of a difference when reading other user's reviews.)
With this said, it does its job.
Just like what I expected after some of the review, the top gets soft and bottom gets hard.
You get what you paid for.
