I felt the need for speed! This bag is an excellent general purpose bag for the whole family or group. The size, feel, and response is right in the middle of the "zone". Great for beginners and fast enough for the pro. Make sure you grab the pro swivel for proper bag movement. I've been using much more frequently than my old bag because the experience is sooo much better. Enjoy!

Wore out one of the cheapo bags in about three months. This one has gotten heavy use for six months and is still like new. Holds proper psi for months at a time. Shape is perfect, well balanced, seams are easy on the hands.

I'm just learning speed bag technique. I liked this bag because it is very balanced and easy to hit.

NOT FOR A NOVICE; Y0U MAY WISH TO START WITH A LARGER BAG, UNLESS THAT IS, YOU CAN KEEP UP WITH THE BIG BOYZ!

This bag is 100% better than the plastic one everlast puts out also. Since these are the only two speed bags I have owned I am only able to compare the two. This one is leather and seems to work quite well based on the noise my 15 year old makes with it. He can hit it for maybe 45 seconds very fast before missing and needing to restart. A good entry into the skill of speed bag workouts. It has a slightly bowed look which does not seems to affect how it bounces off the striking board. Since I only hit a little before my shoulder starts to hurt I'm not sure about this question.

This bag is perfect for what it is intended to do. It is leather, and feels perfect with each strike. I didn't even need to wear gloves, although it might be a good idea. Be careful, though, this bag really is meant for more rhythm than it is for speed. It's a big bag, definitely for beginners. You might want to try and find a smaller size.

All in all, a very good quality product.

P.S. make sure you have a basketball pump.

If you're looking for an inexpensive speed bag with good response, check this out out. Have been boxing for years and these things last forever. There is a reason Everlast is synonymous with boxing!

The bag isn't a good as I thought it was...very rough on the hands. The last bag I used I could easy use it without wraps...this one is much harder and rougher. It is a step up from the last bag, but you may want to look at other options.

This bag is the one to have ,I got the cheap 6pc.bag set and changed the swivel and now with this bag it rebounds close to the gym speedbag .The first time i hit this bag in the store i knew it was the right one, Made me look like a Pro

This was a gift for my son and he really liked it. It seemed very well made and of good quality.
