The double-suspended training bag is one of the coolest training devices around. I've trained and taught the martial arts for 40 years and have seen dozens of studios, and only once did I find one that had one of these. It's great for training speed, agility, and accuracy, since if you don't hit the bag straight on, your blow will glance off to the side. It's especially useful for training your kicks that way, but it's also useful for strikes and punches. If you can hit this one every time with your back spinning hook kick, you're better than me! I would also use the bag in another way--for enhancing instantaneous speed, snap, and focus for the 2-inch punch. The suspended bag doesn't provide much resistance like a heavier bag and so will encourage the development of speed rather than strength initially. At that point you can transfer to a heavier bag to add strength, which is a training better sequence. Otherwise the heavier bag will tend to promote strength initially, which will slow you down. I've been able to develope a pretty respectable 2-inch punch training like this. If you don't have one of these devices then a focus mitt is a better way to go--but that means you need someone available to hold it for you. All in all this bag is a great way to enhance your techniques, especially on the famous but often misunderstood 2-inch punch.

Everlast DEB,
By Jeremy Smith "Smitty" (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews

I got this as a gift from a friend and absolutely love it. It is 9" in diameter and a must have training device; it's also fun and a joy to hit. The only hard part is the installation prep... do your internet research though and there are plenty of hints, tips, ideas, and suggestions out there to help. But it comes with everything you need accept the screws or bolts needed to affix the fixtures to the ceiling and floor. The quality and performance are more than worth it.

Its cheap and useful. Got what I expected. Do wish, however, that the top nylon rope was a bungee. Otherwise, a good product, its an Everlast like all my equipment. Arrived quickly.
