Aweful Product,
This review is from: Everlast Everhide Punch Mitts (Sports)
A friend of mine had these mitts bought for him for Christmas and He and I decided to use them in a training session only using handwraps for knuckle padding. After five minutes my middle knuckle had torn holes in the "Everhide" and actually ripped the foam padding a bit. there are only three awkward leather loops for your fingers, so obviously the designer of this product can't count. Also, the elastic strap the goes around your wrist doesn't keep the mitt from sliding around or from flying off completely.

It's OK,

The gloves work well when drilling straight punches, but are not good when drilling hooks and uppercuts. It's very difficult to fit your fingers into the finger holes. Whoever designed these gloves assumed that the person using them has 6-inch long fingers. If you can afford something more expensive find another pair with better grips for your fingers.

Just ok. Bad fit on the hands but durable.,

I use these with the Everlast Women's Pro Style Training Gloves and even with my girlie punches I smack them right off the hands of the wearer if said wearer doesn't have long fingers/big hands in general. When I am wearing the mitts it is literally a battle to keep them on and held properly. You'll spend the majority of your time with these mitts simply picking them up off the floor and putting them back on, that is, if you aren't fighting like a honey badger to keep them on in the first place. The pair I bought has three finger holes - just right for a three 6-inch fingered space alien but I'd rather have a snug glove fit. So much of the force of the punch goes into the mitt-wearers wrist, forearms and shoulders regardless of skill level. These would be great for receiving a smaller blow from a child but just don't feel right for an adult. They have held up really well otherwise and I've had no splitting or tearing. I've used them for a few years so they get a 3 star rating from me because the fit isn't *so* bad that I have to buy a different pair.

useless for me,

I picked up a pair of these, and they're useless for anyone w/ any sort of punching power. Basically, they're useless for anyone under 10 years old. They come flying off whenever a shot lands.

I recently purchased these mitts along with a pair of boxing gloves. These mitts work great as long the hits are on target or a little below the black spot. If they are anywhere else, we have a hard time keeping the mitts on. These mitts only have an elastic band to keep them attached to your hand, I readily would have given it 5 stars if they had a velcro band or some other method of making it stay on my hand at all times. Otherwise they serve their purpose completely!

Only for children!,
This review is from: Everlast Everhide Punch Mitts (Sports)
These punching mitts are not designed for adult use. They are terribly impossible to hold onto when someone is punching. They have no curve to them, which allows you to catch the punch better. They also have a horrible design for holding them. Three very wierd openings in the back...do humans have 3 fingers?
I do not recommend these mitts for anyone. For a few dollars more you can get a variety of punching mitts that are much better. Look for a little curve in the mitt, stay away from these unless you are buying the youth pack for your child. Even then, I wouldn't buy them...

Hard as it is to get my son active, I put some speedbag gloves on him and I slapped on these mitts and let him go to town. About 45 minutes of taking turns wailing at each other wearing the mitts and we were both drenched in sweat. What a workout! Strength, cardio, and endurance.
These are very well made mitts with good grippability to keep them in place. Good solid padding. Pretty good size too. Overall a good deal.

NOT a five star product!!! Mis-rated.,
This review is from: Everlast Everhide Punch Mitts (Sports)
These slip off the hands with any type of forceful punch. My instructor said these were designed to work with children...not adults. I will have to toss these as they keep flying off my hands during boxing class. Do not recommend.
