First off, the Gray, red color is not as described, the red is more of a dark, maroon red, which i have no problem with. Just needed to clarify.
Second, the sizes are big, S/M is more a M and the L/XL is more of an XL. Other than that, these gloves are very good for day to day sparring. Double stitching would be nice in high wear areas, but the overall construction and quality is more than adequate. The fit might seem awkward at first, very stiff, but if youve ever bought mma gloves before, you have to go a couple rounds with them before they start to get softer and conform to your hands. The wrist lock is a long strap that goes around your wrist twice, locking with 3 velcro strips, so the its gonna be a very secure fit. The cushioning is the reason i bought this glove over the 4oz ones that everlast also sells without the thumb protection. There is very thick pads in both the knuckles and the thumb. The back of the wrist is also very cushioned, making blocking with the back of your hands no sweat at all. Speaking of sweat, the lining of this glove uses a lining called "ever-fresh" which works, the glove does not smell after my matches, but than again, i clean my gloves anyways after i get home. I still recommend cleaning them, instead of leaving hem in a damp, dark, gym bag. the foam cushioning pads are going to be wider than your hands, which makes the fit seem very big, but as long as your fingers and thumbs line up well with the holes, its all good. I grapple and clinch with these with no problem at all. These gloves are a bit heavier than thumb less gloves, however, these do provide alot more cushioning and the added weight is pretty much negligible. I highly recommend this for the day to day fighter whether you do MMA or kickboxing, this is a affordable, high quality pair of gloves that will last quite a while as long as you take care of them.

Not for bag punching,

I bought these for punching on a bag as I don't like using the full boxing gloves. The finger covers don't cover the second knuckle, which means your hands will scrape the bag in a long session. I lost skin from 3 fingers before realising. Also the leather in-between the fingers gave me a severe bruise. Perhaps these are good for grappling or light sparring, but definitely not good for punching a bag.

MMA Gloves,

The item was great, really comfortable gloves and they fit really well and protect your wrists. Exactly like the ones you see on TV. The colors are not what I expected since there is a marron red on the wrists and a yellow brand mark with grey stripes, not at all like the fully black gloves you see on the picture. I would have like more pictures from different angles. Other than that these gloves are awesome for whatever purpose you need them.

These were as advertised. They fit nicely and offer the proper protection, ease of use and flexability needed in an MMA training glove.

I'm using these in a beginning striking class and I love them. They are comfortable, durable and well worth the money. I have small hands and wrists; I purchased a small and at first I thought they might be a little too big. But these gloves have a wrap around strap that hold the glove and my wrist in place. I've been using them for about 6 weeks twice a week working with a bag and a mit and they are performing really well.

These gloves are very durable and tough. The design is simple but effective. The blows that I give my heavy bag and standing heavy bag are pretty hard, but the impact is minimized a lot because of the gloves. I had another pair that were similar to these that just fell apart. I'm glad I purchased these.

Decent Training gloves, nothing special, ok fit, ok reliability. Have been using them for 6 months and they are starting to finally get broken in. Would recommend for someone who is looking at getting into MMA sports.

The gloves are huge! but thats not a bad thing. Like other customers have stated they are slightly uncomfortable putting on but once they are on the padding feels great. Just curious though I got them and one the gloves didn't have a loop for the thumb is this by design or just a flaw?

Good Gloves, Not Quite As Pictured,

These gloves feel fine and fit well (I'll agree the L/XL size is pretty much XL). Though it affects nothing important, my gloves (black) have bright yellow logos across the knuckles, not white. Also, the Everlast patch on the velcro strap is bright white instead of black. Again, these issues don't really matter, just clarifying the inconsistency in the images here.

I love these gloves. They don't smell after you use them even when my hands are soaking. The Colour is a dark Bergandy in a way and the S/M is mostly a S and the L/XL is in-between. I highly recommend these because they are great for training and fights. The padding allows easy blocking and hard punches. Get these because they are great!!!!
