5.0 out of 5 stars Essential accessory for any heavy bag
This has a heavy-duty exterior sleeve and a bladder meant to be filled with water. I bought a 50 lb bag of "play sand" at the local hardware store and used that as ballast instead. This does a great job of damping the motion of the heavy bag as you work out. It's essential -- definitely buy this if you're looking at a heavy bag.

bought this to anchor a 100lb heavy bag in my garage. The only problem with it is that its hard to fill it to 45 lbs. when i use the bag this thing moves too much. they should of made it easier to fill and put non slip padding under it. I recomment u get this only if you cant put an actual anchor on your floor.

For a weight I would recommend using sand @ 4 bucks a bag at the hardware store. For a funnel use a plastic gallon milk jug,cut off the bottom, and you're in business.

4.0 out of 5 stars Must have for Punching bag, July 10, 2011

If you own a punching bag or plan on getting one I highly reccomend getting this. If you never have hit a punching bag before, it builds momentum rather fast and makes it hard to keep training efficiently. You just fill this bag with water and attach the bunji cord that comes with it and it keeps your Punching bag in place allowing you to pummel it to your heart content with out the bag flying everywhere.

I have used this now for about two months, the bag still moves and that causes the double end attachment to slide and the cord that attaches twists. But it basically does what it is meant to do. I have mine filled with water, I might try sand next to see if that makes it harder to slide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Money well spent., April 24, 2011

This is a well priced, well made, versatile heavy bag holder that comes with a strap to attach to the bottom of your heavy bag.

The bag is a vinyl style product. It's zippered on one half so you can insert the supplied water bag. My preference is to use a nylon style stuff bag with readily available washed gravel from a local hardware/nursery store as doing it this way allows you to easily change the bags weight should you need more weight than the restricted water bag allows. Too me, personal preference, I don't like the water idea because I find it messy and too restrictive.

I give the product five stars because when you take into consideration the manufacturing/distribution costs of the item and the fact that with a Prime membership, two-day shipping is included, makes this a well made, "stellarly" priced product that will give you years of intended service.

This anchor definitely does its job. It was easy to fill the internal water bag and it fit back into the outer case very easily. The seams are very sturdy, and I do not foresee this thing falling apart anytime in the near future.

I use it for my heavy bag, it helps a little bit to balance the sway of the bag. For the price its a good anchor!

I use this to support my two sided speed bag. It rests on a hard concrete floor. It has shown no signs of wear and supports the bag well even with the hardest shots.
