the perfect rope,

with ball bearings in the wooden handles, and a real leather "rope" this is a perfect exercise jump rope. I am 5'10" and the 9.5 footer is the correct length for me. I would not get the shorter rope unless you are 5'6 or shorter in height.

I received the item and had no problem on shortening the rope with a small tool I had. My only concern is that it came marked with a sticker in only one of the handles, not both. The "Everlast" brand is not 'burned' in the handle but it comes in a sticker, so it makes me wonder if it is genuine or not given that I have seen other everlast ropes before. Anyway, the product is great and after 3 weeks of use, it is still like new.

When I bought this product about a month ago I was a beginner jump roper. I have been practicing with it about 5 days a week for those 4 weeks and have become pretty good to this point. I have noticed that when I began to speed jump the rope by one of the handles started to wear halfway through the leather and is about to break. The rest of the rope has held up well except for the area near the one handle. The friction caused by the handle is tearing the rope. I would recommend the rope for those who do not jump for speed. But since my goal is speed jumping I am currently looking for another rope.
