Well i overlooked the "youth boxing gloves" part i didnt realize they would be so small; But that is my fault because the description states big as hell "youth gloves". Now i boxed for about 6 years with quite a few amateur fights under my belt, plus countless sparring rounds, and LOTS of rounds doing Mitt work with my trainers, so now that boxing isn't something that i am into from a fighters standpoint anymore, i still love the sport. So i wanted to start training my brother,family, and friends like i have done in the past, and now since i am getting my personal trainers certificate soon, i wanted to get my own pair of mitts to incorporate that with my training methods. Since i have my own boxing gloves, i knew that i would need to purchase a pair for whom ever i am training at the time, so when i saw this duo boxing gloves, and mitts, and not to mention from the ALL-Time great Ali endorsing i said ... WOW, so i purchased, this is actually a great buy, gloves are actually good gloves, mitts are great, lots of cushion for the impact of the punches and they are pretty comfortable and seem to be really sturdy... and it also come in a nice grey mesh carrying case. So all in all this is a GREAT product to purchase.

Good price for a good toy. If your child is 10 or under then you can't go wrong. But for older children these are not really appropriate. The gloves are small and light and won't protect their hands; even for beginner-level training. And the target mitts are next to useless. The straps are too small and poorly designed. If you actually want to do any real training then you can find better gloves for the same price or less. Search amazon for "Everlast Pro Style Training Gloves" and you'll be better off. You **must** also get wrist wraps and learn how to put them on.

this set is good for family bonding. the gloves will fit kids ages from 5 to 10. make sure to get hand wrappings to support the hand, knuckles and wrist. love it. the mitts are strong. these are not your professional mitts. these are good for people who are just learning to punch. when youre just learning, you are not concrned about hitting hard. your concern should be executing with the right techniqhue. the better technique the more muscles you are working out. these mitts could provide a good workout for starters in all ages. ali is the greatest.

I've been training for a while, and one day my son just decided to jump in, unfortunately there was no equipment apt for a 5 year old anywhere to be found; you would not believe the looks I got at the sports stores. While I am not aiming to turn him into a boxing machine, I really wanted us to be able to have fun together. These help us do it.

Hand practice targets - ok but would not purchase again

Bought this for my 4 year old son. Fit well. Could very well fit until he's probably 8-10 years old. Great buy. Good quality.
