4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing pair of gloves.
I bought these gloves about a month ago and after seeing a negative review, I felt compelled to write a positive one. I have one of those freestanding heavy bags so the gloves I got came with the leather ones.. the ones that make you look like you have penguin hands.
These Neoprene gloves are SO much better than the standard gloves that most heavy bags come with...

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
I have been using these for a few months still holding up. Only issue is sometimes I rub my thumbs against the bag when I punch.

These Neoprene gloves are SO much better than the standard gloves that most heavy bags come with. They fit pretty comfortably too considering (what they don't tell you in the review) they are size Small - Medium. I'm 6'4 and they fit me. (honestly, they BARELY fit me. a tiny bit bigger and I'd be completely satisfied)
Been using them for a month and haven't seen them rip or anything like that. A great purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Small but they work, May 2, 2010

Couldn't find the size listed on the order page. Assumed it was one size fits all which doesn't make much sense as I think about it now. Didn't occur to me at the time though. The gloves that showed up are marked small/medium. Fortunately my hands are about medium. If the gloves were any smaller at all I would not be able to use them.
However.........I like them. They feel snug and secure. Comfortable. No slipping inside the gloves. NOT gonna fall off as I punch. I wanted more of a martial arts glove than a bulky boxing glove and that's what they seem to be (martial arts glove). No real padding on the sides/edges of the hands. Padding placed front and back of hand.
Can't say about durability as I have used them only a few weeks but I see no problems.
Four stars because I almost never give anything five stars.

Edited Jan 2012
"Padding placed front and back of hand" is incorrect. I meant when the hand is curled into a fist the padding is front (front of the curled fist...facing the bag) and back of hand. If hand is flat, not curled into fist, padding is on back of hand/fingers and none on palm side.
Sorry bout that. They're still in good shape.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Gloves!, June 25, 2010

I've tried several gloves and none fit as well as the Everlast Neoprene Gloves! Light weight, durable, great fit and easy to slip on and off. As for my other gloves (brandname withheld) the seams gave way in several areas of the glove. So, I would highly recommend Everlast Neoprene, you can't go wrong and you'll have fun hitting the bag.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Inexpensive training gloves, December 31, 2010

This review is from: Everlast Neoprene Heavy Bag Gloves (Sports)
I bought these a couple of months ago, and have been using them pretty frequently. I am using these on a 100lb heavy bag. They are pretty comfortable, and seem to be holding up to the abuse well. The odd thing about these gloves is that your thumb is completely exposed - the picture shows thumbs on the gloves, but that is not the case. I have seen some complaints about the size and fit of these gloves - I have pretty large hands, and these fit well. They are easy to put on and remove. The gloves are made out of some stretchy spandex or neoprene material and have an elastic wristband. There is a thin layer of gel padding for the back of the hand. One thing I will say, is that these gloves get pretty hot after about 20 minutes of workout. Recommended as an inexpensive training glove.

2.0 out of 5 stars Received Mesh-type Glove Instead of product above. Pro / Con feedback., December 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Everlast Neoprene Heavy Bag Gloves (Sports)
I bought these as a Christmas gift for my husband. He is 6'3", his middle finger is 3.625" long (useful in understanding the sizing feedback below). He provided the pro / con feedback below.

He is returning them.

-------------

Pros:
1. Compact. They are easy to fit in a gym bag.

2. Good padding.

-------------

Cons:

1. The gloves shown in the picture are not the gloves that were delivered. The glove that was delivered does not seem as nice (see point 2 for more details).

2. The inside part of the glove is not solid, like in the picture. It has a mesh material, so you could still see your hand. Presumably this would help with ventilation, bacteria management, and easy cleaning. However, it makes the glove feel a little cheap. (b) The gloves I received did not have thumb protection. There was just a whole in the mesh material. Granted you do not necessary need thumb protection when training on heavy bags, but you might need it with mitt training.

3. The "one size fits all" does not fit all. My husband is 6'3" (his middle finger is 3.625 inches long) and the gloves are too tight. Anyone with a finger length longer than 3.4" may want to reconsider purchasing this glove.

4. Mixing hand wrapping with these gloves may make it difficult to put the gloves on (no velcro closure).

2.0 out of 5 stars NO SIZE EQUALS WRONG SIZE, September 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Everlast Neoprene Heavy Bag Gloves (Sports)
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. There was not an option for a size so I incorrectly assumed that one size fits all adults and the gloves could be adjusted. The package is labeled Adult but the gloves are marked small/medium. Unfortunately these were part of a gift and do not fit a man's hand. Guess I'll be using them since they are more like a woman's small.

I used these gloves as soon as I got them, and was happy with the quality of the gloves, I liked how you can use your thumb to answer the phone or open the door with these gloves, they are very light and do a fine job protecting your hand, for a low price.

I love these gloves They are perfect for kickboxing. I have used the other kinds with the thumb and non mesh, and these are so much better.
