This is good practice anyway.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying an off brand machine but could not justify spending BIG bucks on a welder that would not see a lot of use.

Both thier sales and tech support people were GREAT!.

I have been using this welder in a busy gun shop for 2-3 years. It gets used daily but I seldom have the arc going for over 30 seconds. I am welding on guns and must keep the heat load in the metal low. So I have no Idea how the machine will hold up doing long continuous welds.

The argon gas cut off valve is very prone to sticking open. I know a number of folks with these machines and eventually they all start doing it. A sharp mild smack to the left rear side of the welder un-sticks it. However, get used to checking for gas after flow or it will run out your entire talk in a few hours. ALWAYS shut off your gas bottle when you quit welding for more than a few minutes. This is good practice anyway.

I was a dealer for these for about a year. For the price they are wonderful machines. Considering the price you may have issues. I quit being a dealer on these due to less than wonderful ethics on the part of the importer. I also sometimes had difficulty getting any satisfaction on warranty issues. They were great at times and uncooperative at others.

Would I recommend these - yes. I am recommending that a family member get one. Buying it through Amazon is good protection if you do have an issue with the "home office".

For less than $600 and free shipping I could not be happier with the Power ITig 200.

I have not used this machine for long, but I am very impressed thus far. The machine arrived quickly and the box was in perfect condition. No damage to the welder.

Pros: Wired a new 220V 30 amp circut to my garage. Turned it on and it worked perfectly. Lots of adjustments and controls.

Cons: The manual that is comes with is not much. Go online and download the real pdf manual from Everlast's website. Doesn't come with much in terms of a starter kit, but what do you expect for this low of a price?

I spent probably $100 on tungsten, welding wire, collets and cups. Another $75 on wiring my garage. Bought an Argon tank. My total out of pocket was about $1000 to be ready to weld.

Will most likely upgrade to a smaller 125 amp torch with a more flexible cable sometime in the future to work on smaller projects. For the time being the 200 amp torch works just fine.

Great little machine, shipped from Everlast the same day. Fully functional machine, have Tig welded with it quite a bit and have no real complaints. I did buy a foot pedal as it does not come with one and bought an after market series 9 torch (with superflex hose) as the series 26 torch that it comes with is pretty bulky. It will easily weld up to .200" thick plate as advertised.

Nice machine for value. Dc makes smooth arc start and tig welding is stable. Electrode holder is not that great, I switched the holder out with a tweco. And an upgrade to a gas lens is another plus.

I was very skeptical when looking into these because I've been blessed with high end millers and Lincoln's, water cooled torches and foot pedals but I wanted a tig at home. Packaging was great. Now for the cons. The torch and electrode holder are pretty cheap. Never had I used a screw type electrode holder and I'm still not a fan. The tig torch itself isn't bad but the cable is EXtremely stiff and hard to work with. And if you plan to run this off an older generator, think twice unless it's an inverter style generator. These are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Other then that, it is the best money spent and I will be buying another everlast multiprocess as soon as possible before their prices go up.

I have watched everlast now for a long time. They have been around now for several years and stand behind thier products. I did read that a few people say they had issues getting tech support or sales. I can say difinatively that was not my experience. Both thier sales and tech support people were GREAT!. They took care of me big time on my order and if you have any second thoughts about them go check out "welding tips and tricks." Google it...

For all those who say well these guys are not an american company...i need to remind them that the components in those Millers or Hobarts are all made over seas..they might be assembled in the USA but the parts are all manufactured off shore. These are great welders at a great price backed up with a nice warrantee.

I've have this unit for 5 month and i think that is long enough to give a true review. Everything about it works great. I don't use it alot but I customized my motorcycle over the winter and welded several items on it. I used both Tig and stick. I was able to weld some very thin stainless steel, low amps and it ran very smooth. The HF works well. I bought a 40 cf argon tank at the local suppy shop for $125. I was a bit apprehensive about buying an off brand machine but could not justify spending BIG bucks on a welder that would not see a lot of use. I am very happy with this unit.
