5.0 out of 5 stars Great Purchase
These gloves are an excellent purchase for anyone who is in a boxing or kickboxing class or for the casual user who likes to hit the bag at home. I'm a small girl (5'3), with small hands, but after trying on the 12oz gloves at the store, I opted to purchase the 14oz ones off of Amazon instead. I'm extremely glad that I did because my hands fit inside the 14oz gloves...

2.0 out of 5 stars Uncomfortably tight if you use the right wraps
I ordered these gloves in 12oz and found them too tight. I am an average size woman (5'2") with small hands, and the fit was very tight, and my hands and fingers were painfully cramping up when I had wraps on. These gloves may be more suitable for children and teenage girls. I ordered the regular everlast pro style training gloves and they fit much better.

I'm extremely glad that I did because my hands fit inside the 14oz gloves perfectly whether I'm wearing wraps or not, whereas my fingers were a little cramped inside the 12oz gloves when I didn't have wraps on. The padding on the gloves is exceptional, I never hurt my hands hitting the bag or during drills in class. The color has gotten me quite a few compliments, however the one minor complaint I have is that there is no headgear to match. Everlast makes camouflage, yellow, red, blue, and black gloves all with matching headgear, however their pink gloves do not come with any matching accessories except wraps and finding matching headgear online has been kind of a headache. Overall, I would still purchase the gloves regardless of the fact that I don't match when I spar, and realistically, if you're not using the gloves in a combat related class or you don't care about being color coordinated, the matching headgear problem isn't even an issue worth worrying about. Conclusively, the 14oz gloves get 5 stars based on their comfortability, functionality, and appearance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gloves - No problem with shipping (Amazon Prime), March 27, 2007

I love these gloves!! I am 55 years old and have developed arthritis in one wrist so it is somewhat painful to hit my heavybag with the other lighter gloves that I own. I bought these gloves in the 14oz weight and with the built-in wrist wrap it makes it so much easier and comfortable.

The gloves are great. I am small (5'5 112lbs) and bought the 14oz gloves. I do kickboxing aerobics. The gloves are a bit heavy but they are cushioned nicely. :)

I love the boxing gloves--I would totally recommend them to anybody wanting to get in shape and look cute while they are doing it. I would not recommend the free super saver shipping unless you want to wait 6 weeks to get your product. If you are looking for a better deal, I found the same pair of gloves at Kohls for $19.99.

Glad I ordered the 14oz! I based my purchase on reviews and I agree. I too am a small 5'2" girl with small hands and thr 140z are perfect. I think smaller would fit but maybe a bit tight so I'm glad I paid the $5 extra for the bigger ones. The color is a very cool Pink and totally makes me wanna get working! I am still waiting for my punching bag to arrive but these seem very well padded. I hit a few things around the house (couldnt wait to try!) and I didnt feel an ounce of pain on my hands (I type all day so I was kinda worried about my wrists and hands) so far excellent! I recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely order the 14 ounce size, February 3, 2010

I originally ordered these boxing gloves in the 12-ounce size, thinking that they would be fine for me since I'm a smaller-boned person (I'm 5'4") and wear a size 0 or 2. However, the 12-ounce size gloves were much too small and tight, and made my fingers cramp up, so I returned them to the store where I bought them and ordered the 14-ounce ones here on Amazon.

I use these for recreational boxing on my Wavemaster punching bag, so can't speak to how well they hold up for real boxing classes, but for recreational workout videos, they work great. (I've been using boxing workout DVD's from Cathe Freidrich, Amy Bento, and Michael Olajide.)

The gloves have nice cushioning to them, although I also have been using the Everlast gel wraps underneath to provide additional padding for my knuckles.

I know it's silly, but I also just love the pink color! They are really cute in person. Overall, a great purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars hot pink boxing gloves, August 9, 2009

What girl doesn't need a pair of hot pink boxing gloves. Great at home upper body/aerobic work out. Get the Women's Boxing book, too to master a few simple moves at home. The inflatable punching bag from everlast is a cheap way to break into boxing without a big outlay of cash. Great stress reducer!!!!

Great for people who can't do a lot of exercise. You can sit in a chair and hit a punching bag for a great workout.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gloves!, June 25, 2011

I'm very happy with these gloves. The 12oz fits me perfectly. I have longish fingers though and if they were any longer they would be cramped in the gloves. From my wrist to the tip of my middle finger is about 71/4 inches. If your hand is longer you might want to consider a larger size. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the smell. It's not that intense and of course they are going to have a plastic odor like anything new does. Just air them out for a couple of days before you wear them if it really bothers you.
